It was the beginning of 2023. An evening on a weekday. I was working on something important. Trying to get closer to my dreams. As I was typing away at a Word document, my phone chimed. A message notification from someone. As soon as I heard the notification sound, I picked up the phone. I went on WhatsApp to view the message. Next thing you know, I am on social media (Instagram). Mindlessly scrolling. As if I was possessed by this puppet master above me. After some time, I realized I was wasting my time and checked the time only to be disgusted with myself. I had wasted 30 whole minutes! I am absolutely livid with myself 😤. Filled with regret for not having utilized the time in the right way. 🤦🏻‍♂️ To check a message that takes just one minute, I ended up wasting half an hour. At this point, I was fully distracted and decided to go back into work mode. → As soon as I went back to my laptop to finish the work, I realized it was bedtime and had to postpone the work to the next day. This story is not the only incident. After hundreds of incidents like this, thousands of distractions, and tens of thousands of hours of wasted time, my goals in life were nothing but distant dreams. That's when I said to myself, "Enough is enough" and decided to embark on the journey of self-development. ✔️ Trying to better myself in every aspect of life i.e. health, wealth, relationships, and the one that governs it all, happiness. Now, I'm on a perpetual journey of self-development.
