I spent 3+ years in B2B SaaS sales at Zensai, starting as the first SDR in ANZ and growing into an Account Executive role, closing high-value deals across APAC and leading initiatives that blended sales, partnerships, and community-building.

One month into building LiveHaus. And here’s exactly what this first month has taught me. Launching LiveHaus on 13th October 2025 wasn’t backed by money or a roadmap. It was backed by conviction, courage, and a feeling that Sydney was ready for something different.

What pushed me forward was the belief that Sydney and Australia needed a new kind of spark in their events space.

Events have always been my arena, but nothing compares to building something of your own.

In the last 30 days I’ve lived the full founder rollercoaster.

Some people backed me before the idea was even real.
Some questioned everything without offering anything helpful.
Some offered help and actually showed up.
And some said they’d help but disappeared the moment things got real.

Some days I felt unstoppable.
Some days I questioned everything.
Some days I celebrated wins.
Some days I dealt with setbacks and silence.

The biggest lesson?
When you build your own thing, you become your own boss, your own motivator, and your own accountability partner.
Nobody is coming to push you.
Nobody is coming to save you.
You either show up, or you don’t.

And the glamorous stuff?
It’s maybe 5% of the journey.
The rest is grit, consistency, problem-solving, rejection, momentum, rebuilding, and believing in something before anyone else sees it.

If you’re building something right now, here’s what I learned in Month 1:

1. People will surprise you both positively and negatively.
2. Momentum matters more than motivation.
3. Patience is your real superpower.
4. No one cares about your vision more than you do.
5. The days you feel like quitting are the days you grow the most.

And honestly this is just the beginning.

If this man wasn’t talking about LiveHaus and Impact Circle every waking minute, I’m pretty sure modelling would’ve been the backup career.

Where it would’ve taken him?
No clue.
(Maybe Milan. Maybe a Kathmandu catalogue. Honestly could go either way.)

But instead of posing for cameras, he’s out here building rooms full of energy and the next one is a big one.

Over the last few years in this space, he has spoken with HR, People & Culture, and L&D leaders across Australia and the stories have been raw, honest, and very real.

The pressure of rapid growth.
The emotional labour nobody sees.

The burnout you manage while managing everyone else’s.

And the line he keeps on hearing?
