As the VP of Engineering at Ayraa, my role was a fusion of hands-on technical involvement and strategic leadership. I had the privilege of leading a diverse team consisting of technical architects, backend and frontend developers, project managers, and QA specialists focused on manual testing, automation, and security. We collaborated in developing innovative SaaS products in the enterprise communication, knowledge management, and enterprise security domains. My participation spanned from pivotal software architecture and design decisions to aligning our technical strategies with overarching business objectives. I was dedicated to fostering a continuous learning culture within our team, driving operational efficiency through agile methodologies, and proactively addressing potential risks to ensure seamless product delivery.

Loylogic

Director - Technology Development

In this role at Loylogic, I spearheaded a substantial re-architecture project, transitioning from a Monolithic Architecture to a Microservice Based Architecture. This task demanded hands-on involvement in coding, software design/architecture, DevOps design/architecture, and team management.

Additionally, I led a cross-functional team of 30 professionals, including Developers, Testers, Business Analysts, DevOps, UX Designers, and UI Developers. Our responsibility was to build and manage the loyalty-based e-commerce solutions offered by the company. Despite having 30 direct reports, I retained a hands-on approach with all aspects of software development, regularly writing code and designing/architecting software systems.

Director - Technology Innovation

As a Technical Architect, I led the 'Architecture Engineering' team in Loylogic. In this role, I successfully led 2 very huge and complicated migration projects - "Oracle-To-Postgre Migration (with tons of PL/SQL code)" and "DataCentreBasedHosting-To-AWS Migration". Prior to these 2 migration projects, I worked on various technical initiatives that improved the performance, scalability and robustness of all the software components of Loylogic's ECommerce Platform. In addition to this, I also worked on streamlining technical processes, improving developer productivity and enhancing the software architecture.

Technical Architect

Vuclip Inc.

For its Mass-Market Platform, Vuclip was earlier using a proprietary data-integration software called as 'Talend'(https://www.talend.com/). The licensing cost of this proprietary data-integration software was about 200k USD per year. Moreover, this proprietary data-integration software had some technical limitations that were causing issues for Vuclip. To provide a solution to this problem, I single-handedly designed and developed an in-house data-integration software from scratch, thereby saving 200k USD per year and eliminating all technical limitations.

In this role, I worked on designing and developing the Akruu platform(https://akruu.com) and also the new loyalty-based e-commerce platform of Loylogic - 'Reward Experience'.

In this role, I worked on integrating Loylogic's software systems with multiple clients like Etihad Airways, Amex, Lyoness, SAS Airways, Air Baltic, etc. Also, I built multiple features on Loylogic's old loyalty-based e-commerce platform.
