I’m honored and proud to share that my wife, Eliza Blank, has taken on a new role as CEO of The Farmlink Project. 
 
As someone who works with leaders navigating transition, I’ve seen a lot of people go through this process. And I have to say, while it wasn’t always smooth or easy (these things rarely are), Eliza ended up in a really amazing place.

She could’ve easily gone and started another venture-backed company or taken a big job at a fast-growing startup. But she really listened to what she wanted and what was most important. That ultimately came down to impact, quality of life, and making a real difference.

For those who don’t know, Farmlink connects farms with surplus produce to food banks and pantries across the United States. They rescue millions of pounds of food every year and help feed American families.

Congratulations, Eliza. I couldn’t be prouder to be your husband, sounding board, and biggest fan.

In a country where good food is wasted while families go without, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve joined The Farmlink Project–a national nonprofit that reroutes surplus fruits and vegetables from farms to families–as CEO. We’re pledging to move 10M lbs by Thanksgiving. 💚

Farmlink began in 2020, when a group of students saw long lines outside food banks even as farmers had to plow under perfectly good crops. They cold-called growers, rented trucks, and moved what would’ve been wasted to neighbors in need. Today, Farmlink is one of the few national nonprofits moving millions of pounds every week across the U.S.

After 12 years building The Sill, I’ve seen how powerful it is when a clear mission meets relentless execution. I’m bringing that mindset to work that’s urgent and deeply human: moving nutritious food fast and fairly—so it feeds people, not landfills.

With federal food assistance facing historic disruptions, families are bracing for tighter grocery budgets even as billions of pounds of edible food go unused. In a country with this much abundance, that mismatch shouldn’t exist.
