As a committed engineer with a fervent interest in Process Systems Engineering (PSE), I obtained my degree in Chemical Engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU), where I also gained valuable practical experience through completing four internships in academia and industry. My unwavering fascination with computational research led me to pursue a Master's degree at Gebze Technical University (GTU), where I am currently working on my dissertation project entitled Machine Learning-Oriented Design of Hard Carbon Anodes for Developing High-Performance Sodium-Ion Batteries. Though I faced challenges such as adapting to a new culture and losing a scholarship due to a low GPA, I persevered and achieved my goals with flying colors. As the Coordinator of Mentors and Hosts at the International Student Office, I actively seek out opportunities to mentor and support international students. Driven by my unbridled passion for engineering and research, I am dedicated to exploring opportunities to use machine learning techniques to forecast and design higher performance sodium-ion batteries, an immensely promising energy storage solution, prior to embarking on my PhD studies.
