Since 2005, I have taught, coached, and served as a leader in independent schools, now working as Chief Strategy and Communications Officer at Proctor Academy. In this role, I sit on the senior leadership team at the school, and directly oversee all institutional strategic planning and communications (website, blog posts, social media, video, etc). I work closely with our admissions, communications, advancement, and operations teams to steward Proctor's brand identity, mission, revenue streams, and institutional strategy. Developing and implementing strategy, while sustaining an institution's culture, has evolved into a passion. I still love to pretend I can play basketball, but recently lost to one of my sons in 1 on 1 for the first time, and it has shaken me to the core.
