After working as part of the Manufacturing leadership group spending time working closely with product management to define our offering and build our capabilities in this space, I formalized my position in our Manufacturing business unit by taking responsibility for field presales. Getting this business unit within RELEX off the ground  involved a great deal of collaboration both internally with numerous teams and externally with partners (future acquisitions) as well as a lot of time spent on enabling other teams. From a standing start we were able to exceed our sales targets in our first full year, doubling ARR in the second year, successfully integrating an acquired company & onboarding team members as we scaled the organisation.

In 2016 RELEX acquired Galleria-RTS - a leading supplier of automation and optimization software solutions and services for space planning, assortment, merchandising & clustering to both retailers and manufacturers – and re-branded it as RELEX Space & Assortment. 
 
Following Galleria's acquisition by RELEX, to support the rest of the business it was necessary to form a Solutions Consulting team within the Space & Assortment Centre of Excellence with the following responsibilities: 

• Sales Cases:  Supporting Space & Assortment sales cases with the relevant solutions expertise. Determine the opportunity and feasibility of proposed RELEX solutions in supporting the consultative selling process 

• Space Aware Supply Chain Unified Offering:  Continuing collaboration with Supply Chain counterparts in bringing together the Supply Chain and Space & Assortment product suites into an integrated solution offering 

• Implementation Projects:  Acting as a senior consultant to support Space & Assortment Projects with Experience, Solutions Expertise & Problem-Solving in guiding implementation consultants on best practice business process and strategy 

My role as Lead is to ensure resources are applied and properly equipped to achieve the above goals. I’ve also invested a lot of time in RELEX’s Unified Product offering as a point of personal interest., and have been a tutor for RELEX’s “Senior Consultant University”

As part of the management team my role was to run the serve-over counters in store, with a staff of 28 and a weekly turnover of over £30k. Taking full responsibility for the departments KRAs; sales, waste, wages, availability. As a part of the management team I was also required to be flexible and adaptable to make sure the store continued to trade to its targets.

Counters Section Leader

Working as a part of the management team in a superstore with a £1m+ weekly turnover, this role was responsible for all goods incoming and the efficient management of backups. During this time, I took over a warehouse that had been manager-less for a period of time and promptly lead it through a highly successful stock-take, drove down overall stock holding and took numerous steps to pass a Safe and Legal audit

Warehouse Manager

Working as a part of the management team in a superstore with a £1m+ weekly turnover, this role was focused primarily upon ensuring on-shelf availability targets are met across the Fresh departments. This involves taking management responsibility for the Process Team to ensure the correct stock quantity arrives in store. During this time, I set up and recruited a dedicated Waste & Markdowns team from scratch, taking responsibility for fresh waste across the store, consequently Asda Stafford was the only store in the region to come under budget for waste in 2010.
