I’m a lawyer, but I’m not your typical lawyer. Sure, I have a background in information technology and civil rights. And I worked for the federal government for 10 years. My analytical skills and attention to detail are the foundation on which I can provide you with top-level legal services, whether it’s a will, trust, power of attorney, or a new business startup. But that’s not what makes me different. My philosophy is what makes me stand apart from the other legal providers. Unlike those other yahoo lawyers, I’m comfortable admitting that I have a problem with authority. I don’t like anyone telling me how to live or what I should think or say. That includes some government bureaucrat or judge deciding who gets what from my estate or decides on my medical treatment in a situation I can’t decide for myself. In fact, after working for the government for 10 years, I can’t think of anything worse than letting some bureaucratic blow-hole make those kinds of decisions for me.
