I have spent the last 9 or 10 years in Business Development but that doesn't tell the whole story - before this I worked in Customer Service, and before all this, many other roles that simply won't all fit on a CV. I spent a few years in construction too, mainly in the Netherlands, which was a big factor in learning the language so quickly - they take no mercy on the building sites over here! My point being, throughout all these experiences (in various countries) one thing stayed true and built up over time - my belief that to be truly happy and successful at work, you have to love where you are and what you do, equally. I have always felt that happy people work better and achieve more, and that notion has helped me during my Business Development years. For the most part I have worked with HR Leaders to introduce various platforms that enhance and improve the Employee Experience, from onboarding to surveys to general engagement, and I am proud of what I have done and continue to do. At work, everybody should have a voice, and use it without fear of what others think, or may say - the best way to achieve company success is by empowering your teams and trusting them to perform, wherever they are.
