Working as part of the Digital Transformation Office of this global organisation to deliver key projects related to ensuring transportation information for consumer goods was migrated from Johnson & Johnson to Kenvue as part of the separation programme. I managed a small team of dedicated Business Analysts and provided project management services to key stakeholders from North America and EMEA.

My contracting and consultancy company. Founded in early 2019 to provide programme and project management services. Main client to date is AT&T on two separate contracts. Each contract has also included engagement with AT&Ts strategic partner, IBM.

Hitachi Energy

Working within the Information Technology unit of this global organisation to deliver a new application tool for the management of 500+ business locations globally.

The tool was provided as a SAAS solution, however there were several system integrations to be implemented between the tool and key customer applications e.g. AD, Identity access management system, Finance (SAP), HR (Workday) and Microsoft exchange.

I managed the relationship with the vendor and the system integrator on behalf of the internal client.

This project was a fast paced project to deliver a solution in a short period of time, as directed by the client.

Interim Senior Project Manager

Berkshire and Surrey Pathology Services

Managing the delivery of two major projects for this pathology service. The first project involved the upgrade of the existing LIMS solution to the current version, including a migration to a hosted solution in a third-party data centre environment. The second project involved the migration of the organisation's applications (Excluding LIMS) from local data centres within one of the Trust sites to an externally hosted data centre, delivery value in enabling the local data centre to be fully decommissioned. Contract came to an end due to an organisational change in the client's project delivery team.

Paperchase

Brought onto the project to address a number of technical challenges in a key integration project between the Client and its new logistics partner. The project required an immediate understanding of the current problem, refreshing of the schedule, and managing delivery of the remaining items to meet the aggressive timescales for the project. Numerous integrations were required across the WMS and ERP environment, consisting of flat file loads, API calls, various other integrations and transformations of millions of lines of data.

Interim Project Manager

AT&T

Programme Manager for a key client of the telecommunications company. The role was to manage the network infrastructure refresh programme throughout the EMEA region for one of the world’s top three marketing organisations with approximately 1300 locations worldwide. Responsible for the delivery of this highly complex programme in EMEA and managing an outsourced team of 25 project managers and technical resources across the EMEA region. This role required interaction with senior executives as well as managing key relationships with the AT&T refresh supply chain. In addition, the programme role also included the introduction of process improvements and standardisations to provide enhanced tracking of progress across the projects.
Stood up a separate programme for expedited edge firewall implementation, mitigating risk and ran this as a programme within a programme. This programme was a success in delivering 150 firewalls refreshed in 7 months instead of a planned 12 months, despite site closures and challenges related to Covid-19.

Interim Programme Manager

This role was to provide the coordination and management of network activity required for the external connections programme on the IBM Network Separation programme for the Co-Operative Bank. I was responsible for the migration of existing external network connections from the Banks original data centres to IBM data centres. Following the migration of the new network connections, I managed the transition, using key project management principles, of a number of key Bank services to the new connections. 

This role included line management of a number of network architects based onsite with me as well as liaising with offshore technical teams to ensure the work was completed with minimal disruption to the Bank.  

I was based on the customer site in Manchester, working closely with senior stakeholders and project resources from AT&T, IBM and the Co-Operative Bank in order to complete the successful transition of network activity for multiple projects.

Skanska

Oversaw all aspects of projects, including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities to team members, and tracking project progress. Coordinated and completed projects on time within budget and scope. Assisted in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. Managed changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques. Acted as a communication bridge between the IT department and customers. Managed internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects. Secured resources through identification and management of their involvement for project delivery.
•	Mitigated risks and resolved issues through implementation of risk and issue management procedures as per the scale of project.
•	Received recognition at the annual Skanska IT awards in Dec 2017 by upgrading primary financial system in Skanska UK.
•	Reduced print costs at 50% of company locations through implementation of an effective third party managed print services solution.
•	Steered the implementation of a Cisco contact centre system across a number of contact centre operations, resulting reduced running costs.

IT Project Manager

Directed project activities and ensured delivery of allocated IT projects within time, cost, and quality constraints. Allocated projects to the relevant departments by carefully analysing project requirements. Ensured complete satisfaction of the IT department and its customers through management and swift resolution of project related escalations. Consistently communicated with the IT department and customers. 
•	Encouraged team members for the timely delivery of IT projects in an agile and demanding business environment.
•	Directed a team of 3 x IT Project Managers, 1 x Business Analyst, and 1 x Solutions Architect.
•	Co-ordinated and managed IT projects, programmes, and portfolios within the IT department by defining, implementing, and maintaining appropriate processes and documentation.
•	Supported project team and other members through introduction of project procedures.

Lead IT Project Manager

Ensured delivery of application projects across a number of IT project managers, while working within the application area of the IT department.
•	Managed the delivery of the application programme
•	Succeeded in managing the resources for a number of value projects, resulting in substantial cost savings to the business.
•	Implemented new appropriate processes.
•	Delivered project process and improvement training as required to the application project management team.
•	Delivered senior management reports to the IT Leadership team
•	Identified areas of improvement.

Application Programme Manager

I led IT project activities of specific key operating units within Skanska UK. I carried out additional duties, including management of a team of service support analysts to ensure technical IT issues within the operating units. I adhered to time, cost, and quality imposed by the Skanska business units while managing the full lifecycle of allocated IT Projects.

For the last few years of this role, the IT department was structured so that each project manager would be responsible for the delivery of projects for a specified number of operating units. In addition to the projects, I was also responsible for the service management of the same specific number of operating units. To enable me to do this role, I had direct line management of 4 x service support analysts. 

Key achievements included 
•	Enabling the effective management of a British Telecommunications contract by steering the implementation of a major bespoke application to support the Skanska UK utilities business, resulting in reducing overhead costs and potential fines.
•	Deployment of key infrastructure upgrades across multiple sites
•	Replacement of existing infrastructure equipment across multiple sites
•	Improvements in the time taken for IT issues and incidents to be resolved
•	Stakeholder management of the key business managers in the operating units I was responsible for.

MG Telecommunications Ld

I managed a small team of IT professionals to provide day to day support of the IT infrastructure across 10 sites in the UK and Ireland. I was based in the head office in Leeds with responsibilities across all sites.

I worked primarily in the School of Health Studies, supporting both staff and students with IT issues. Total number of people supported was in excess of 500. In addition, I was also involved in central IT decision making as the key IT office for the school
