Experienced educator and instructional coach looking to help build cultures one school at a time! I've been in education almost 20 years. My favorite part of being in education are all the opportunities to learn and grow. Another is the impact educators have on the lives of others. In my current role as a sixth grade science teacher, I focus on creating an environment for students to learn and prepare for seventh grade. In addition, I look to improve the culture through professional development. My instructional coach experience helped me to understand the importance of building a strong positive culture. Teachers need more than money. They need a place where they feel valued and make a difference. In addition, it showed me that I am capable of getting out of my comfort zone. Getting out of my comfort zone has given me the strength to volunteer to lead professional developments on school culture, team building, and educational technology. I have become a bigger believer that getting better means never stop learning! Outside of work, I am passionate about the Lord and my family which has kept me grounded and driven to help others.
