Deciding to take more risks in my career ultimately led me to leave it. Here’s what happened: 2008: Entered my first Safety position and 4 months in, an employee was killed on the job. 2009-2011: I was frustrated with disconnected leadership so I spent most of my time in the field and started building real solutions that would add real value, real fast. 2012-2015: Switched companies, expanded my territory, and started building high-impact and innovative training solutions that were actually working. 2016-2018: Accepted a corporate role in Medellín, Colombia and continued the implementation of innovative solutions across multiple countries. 2018-2020: Took a U.S. Safety role, built a team, developed the first VR simulation experience to train over 2,000 mixer truck drivers which resulted in $5M+ in savings and over 200% ROI, and founded Siembra LLC. 2020: Left my career to build more solutions to impact the ready mix industry and beyond. 2021: Served my first 10 clients and generated enough cash flow to focus more on product development. 2022: Pivoted service offerings for focused efforts on VR / AR development, other innovative training solutions, and increased revenue by 250%. Today, we are positioned to implement already successful VR simulations and other training modules for the building materials industry and beyond.
