In my latest book, "BROKEN - How To Fix B2B Sales, Drive Profitable Growth & Win," I mention that experts say data is supposed to be the key to a company's success. In 2023, oh, now, great data is the key to success for companies in 2024, blah, blah, etc. 📈

I found in my research that most companies' data sucks, and they know it, especially in their CRMs. I have talked about this for years, but now it's starting to cause bigger problems because companies are starting to use the data in the CRM to make decisions. And when they are surveyed, they will admit that the data in their CRM is only fair to good, but they're using it to make major financial decisions with faulty data? 🤯

CRM has been a pain in the butt for sales and others in a company for years, but leadership wouldn't stop to help fix the problem, help end-users with making notes in a CRM easier, then give them time to properly note and update CRMs and teach them the reason it is so important that the data in the CRMs are accurate. 💼

CRMs are one of the most important tools in a company, but they are also one of the most un-user-friendly tools. Why? Because CRM companies haven't been forced to make them more user-friendly because the people who buy them aren't forced to use them, like they force others in the company, i.e., sales. 🔄

Finally, others state the obvious, like Chris Walker, who says that the way companies use CRM, most are a mess. Chris consults with companies of all sizes, from medium to large, and their CRM data is faulty, yet many companies continue to ignore it, costing them large amounts of money.
