Scott Spradlin, LPC, LMAC is the author of Don't Let Your Emotions Run Your Life: How Dialectical Behavior Therapy Can Put You in Control (New Harbinger, 2013). He completed DBT Intensive training (2000-2001), with Marsha Linehan's B-Tech, Seattle, WA. Scott started learning and practicing DBT at the Portland, DBT program, now the Portland DBT Institute and has continued into the present day delivering DBT to clients and by way of training professionals in the Wichita area, and he has trained professionals nationally with PESI, Inc. He currently offices at Haus of Clarity, where he provides DBT, mindfulness-based therapy and Christian Counseling services. He is presently writing "Wise Mind, Wise Life" a book and workbook integrating DBT, mindfulness, and eudaimonia into a practical framework to help individuals cultivate wisdom in their lives so that they may live engaged enchanted and elevated lives. He will soon release Wise Mind, Wise Life media as companion materials to the book. He is also the co-host of the new live streaming video, ADD Live: Helping You Thrive with Your Adult ADHD, and will explore the hilarious and tragic elements of ADHD with Mariah Warden, of Northstar Therapy, who is an ADHD therapist and coach. The Scott is active in parish life at St. George Orthodox Cathedral, Wichita, KS. He volunteers at the Lord's Diner and facilitates fundraising teams annually to support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Sedgwick County Chapter for the Out of the Darkness Community Walk. He also loves poetry, literature and all things related to superheroes and more especially, the Marvel Universe.
