For over two decades, I created exceptional experiences and lasting relationships in the service industry, while also solving a LOT of problems by paying attention to details and being versatile, dedicated, and persistent. Managing restaurants, bars, and my own bookkeeping business has opened my eyes to two major truths: 1. Though they may not always be right, the customer is always the priority. 2. Benjamin Franklin said it best: “No employment can be managed without arithmetic.” Book to the Future LLC is my way of using that knowledge and my expertise to create my own successes and to help others do the same. Small business owners should not have to sacrifice their personal lives, relationships, and dreams, just to be successful. Working in the service industry was an amazing experience, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I think everyone should do it. Helping others while leaving a positive, meaningful mark on as many people as possible has always been important to me. But moving into management, I found more and more of my time was spent on clerical and administrative tasks, leaving less time for those crucial, human connections. Worse, my time outside of work suddenly became almost non-existent. I needed a change. I wanted to create something on my own terms, that relied only on my passion for helping others and my unexplainable fascination with numbers. I have always been a “numbers nerd”, in large part because of my father, who did the bookkeeping for his own business and others in the community. So after being involved in the accounting at several locations I managed, becoming a bookkeeping professional was the clear choice. My goal is to take the burden of bookkeeping off your hands, giving you more freedom, and the knowledge necessary to make better decisions for your business.
