-Assist in ensuring that incomplete repairs and projects are finished within the scheduled time of completion in order to keep a backlog of work to a minimum.

-Assist in ensuring that equipment failure is kept to a minimum and within contractual limits.

-Maintain good two-way communication with crew members.

-Assist to ensure entries on permits, isolation tags and logs accurately reflect the current status of equipment.

-Participate in the development of newly appointed team members.

-Participate in company approved and recommended training as required both on and offshore.

-Ensure compliance with Paragon Offshore's HSE Management System thus allowing for safe, efficient operations.

-Safely and efficiently perform all duties assigned by the Mechanic.

-Ensure the engine rooms are kept clean and all equipment is properly stowed.

-Attend and participate in pre-tour, post tour and special operations and weekly safety meetings.

-Ensure all maintenance operations are proceeding in a safe manner, and responsible for correcting or notifying responsible persons of any unsafe acts and/or conditions which exist.

-Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with the preventative maintenance program under the direction of the Mechanic.

-Maintain the engine room daily operating logs.

-Ensure all compound components are regularly oiled and lubricated, and appropriate rotations made.

-Perform general maintenance around the engine room area keeping motor room and machinery spaces clean

-Assist the Mechanic, Electrician and Rig Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining all rig power generating equipment and drives, blowout manifold, accumulator and lines, and all air, fuel, water, cooling and heating systems.

-Report on parts, tools and supplies needed to maintain the equipment for which one is responsible.

-Assist other crew members as needed directed by the mechanic or requested by the Driller or Rig Manager.

Completed a NC in mechanical maintenance engineering January 2013.

I service all aspects of fire protection offshore. This includes fire extinguishers, hydrants, hoses, sabre & draeger breathing apparatus, grab bags, R102/Co2 galley fire suppression systems, Novec suppression systems, Co2 fire suppression systems and Inergen fire suppression systems. 
I also install and commission the above R102, Co2 and Inergen systems.
I am qualified in room integrity testing aswell.
Although deluge testing is not one of my primary jobs, I have helped my work out by performing deluge tests on various rigs.
I am competent in all aspects of fire protection within the offshore industry and I am always striving to make appliances / systems as simple, practicable and efficient as the can be.
