Thank you for visiting my LinkedIn profile. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit: Aristotle During initiation, it became very clear, that Recruitment was not only, Science and Arts, but also has an element of Sports infused into it. The game had several written and unwritten rules. The unwritten rules, I recognized were profound. Integrity was non-negotiable. The lives of the applicant and the fortunes of the organization which I hired were equally important. I did not have the liberty to trade one for the other. The Recruiter was a business partner, someone who is critical to the success of the business. The quality of hire was of paramount importance. The price of non-conformance of the wrong hire was unacceptable. The time to fill the position mattered. The cost of hiring was included in that equation. To build scale into Recruitment, Technology had to be included. Process compliance imbued the necessary discipline and credibility of the recruiting organization. Social Channels helped build community. If you really cared and provided value, it paved the way, for a solid Employer Brand. Employer branding in turn affected the growth of the Talent Pipeline. And yet at a fundamental level…the efficiency with which the nuts and bolts of recruitment were executed, across the recruitment organization mattered. Understanding and validating the Job Description was of paramount importance. Sourcing, Disseminating the Job Description properly, scheduling interviews effectively, rolling out offers transparently, all added up to a great candidate experience, a better offer acceptance to joining ratio, a quality hire and more importantly avert the incidence of price of non-conformance of a wrong hire.
