Growing up, I may have been too career-oriented. I took a career test in the 8th grade which told me that I might make a good pharmacist one day. Well, 10 years later, I am about to become exactly that! Others would describe me as hardworking, dedicated, and loyal - all traits that make for a good healthcare professional. I can leverage those qualities to create a wide-reaching impact on the profession. Throughout my pharmacy education, I have learned more than just the basic sciences required to understand pharmacotherapy. While pursuing my PharmD I have learned how to lead teams, communicate professionally, manage and prioritize projects, network, and create lasting connections through platforms like LinkedIn. As a pharmacy student, I had the opportunity to intern at both a community pharmacy and a hospital. Through these experiences, I have learned how pharmacies operate, where some pitfalls may be, and how I as a student pharmacist can best position myself to create meaningful change that will ultimately benefit patients.
