As a data engineer at Red Ventures I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of industries including financial services, telecommunications, and entertainment/digital services. Each of these industries has also given me experience in various data environments, both on-premise and in the cloud. Working at a digital marketing and sales company, my responsibilities include creating and owning ETL processes from multiple sources and vendors, such as Google and Twitter, and marrying the information with both in-house technologies and third party systems. 

I am currently working within large scale cloud & distributed environments including AWS and Spark, but have also developed solutions in SQL specific environments such as SQL Server and MySQL. I have experience building ETLs in SQL and scala,  designing and managing data warehouse solutions, as well as implementing and evangelizing analytics tools such as Tableau and Power BI.

Data Engineer

Lead a team of 3 data systems analysts and 2 database administrators to own and manage a SQL Server based data environment for over 200 analysts within the marketing, financial services, telecommunications, website optimization and home services industries. 
Implemented and optimized complex SQL queries and stored procedures to support consumption of data from first party and third party systems through SSRS and SSAS. 
Coached team members through troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and end to end solution implementation while working with cross functional teams to meet business requirements and deadlines.

Data Operation Lead

As a data systems analyst for Red Ventures, it was my responsibility to optimize our data environment while providing support and insight for business customers. 
A key part of my role was working directly with customer in order to help troubleshoot and resolve issues within SQL Server, SSRS and PowerBI. 
In addition to optimizing queries and building dashboards, I was responsible for tracking and reporting operational metrics such as issue resolution types and timelines. 
Organization and communication were key to success in this role and communication audiences regularly spanned from various levels of leadership and technical ability.

As a member of the Leadership Development Program, I've had the opportunity to work as a Continuous Improvement Engineer at the Eaton facility in Kings Mountain, North Carolina. I was responsible for analyzing processes through use of problem solving and LEAN techniques, such as value stream maps and root cause analysis, in both the manufacturing and assembly departments. I helped coordinate and facilitate improvement events and activities. Additionally, I was the plant wide 5S initiative program organizer and work to keep the location in line with Eaton standards.

Operations for Engineers Leadership Development Program Participant

While interning at Eaton in Athens, Georgia, at the Supercharger Excellence Center, I collaborated with employees to develop standardized work process for newly created material handler role. I helped to implement a kanban card stocking system to aid in material flow to assembly lines along with tracking of inventory throughout workshop floor. I also participated in daily production and risk meetings to determine customer needs, workshop capacity, on hand materials, and time restraints in order to meet monthly sales goals between $6M and $8M.

Operations Excellence Intern – Industrial Sector

As an Operations Excellence Intern in the electrical sector of Eaton, I provided support for a new system tracking $11M in inventory for the $280M satellite organization. I reconciled discrepancies between company purchase orders and outside invoices. I also proactively communicated with vendors and employees to prevent purchase order-invoice discrepancies and payment holds.
