Working closely with Environment Agency (EA) Senior Leaders to Delivery Manage the transformation of Environmental Permissions services into a single digital offering. Day to day agile delivery and management of Suppliers / Sub Contractors in a blended team with DEFRA and EA people in a larger multidisciplinary team. Responsible for all financial spend, risks, issues, assumptions, decisions and dependency management and reporting to Senior Leaders, Programme Board and Portfolio Management. Using Azure Dev Ops (ADO) toolset, (boards. Wiki and environments), as preferred choice of supplier.

Delivery Manager (Contract)

During my time at Defra I have been accountable for the delivery of several project within the Dynamics365 Finance & Operations portfolio. Project management activities include creation of options papers, defining scope, planning and maintaining the project plan, chairing daily stand ups and tracking JIRA tasks, full budgetary responsibility, managing the RAID log and, reporting project status. 

D365 FinOps Exiting Daisy Datacenter – The objectives for D365 FinOps Exiting Daisy are to move all the integration components of the Scheme Finance system out of at capacity datacentre into Azure to protect payments made of circa £2.5 billion to 111,000 farmers. The solution delivered would transform the existing BizTalk applications and file movement applications in scope to LogicApps and to Azure Functions as well as the migration of 8 databases that form part of the integration landscape.

Geospatial Processing– The goal of this project was to move the current Geospatial data production process from on premises desktop PCs into a resilient cloud environment.

Citrix Upgrade – Upgrade of Citrix to version 1912 CU2. This involves upgrading the provisioning (PVS) servers and vDisks across the full route to live environments then successfully implementing to production.

Lloyds Banking Group

Third Party Connection Remediation – This project was to remediate the vulnerabilities of data   connections from LBG to 3rd parties in the international space by introducing new F5 technology to content inspect incoming connections.
Syslog-ng Version 6.0.20 Upgrade – The current syslog-ng agent was out of vendor support. I managed the delivery of the most up to date version of syslog-ng across the whole LBG estate to address the open security risk. I lead the project through testing and global rollout liaising with several 3rd parties as well as internal based in UK and abroad.

Accountable for the delivery of IT infrastructure projects into IT programmes to time, cost and quality with no impact on live service. 

Responsibilities included:
•	Building and setting up new infrastructure with full budget profit and loss responsibility. 
•	Ensuring that realistic estimates of costs, timescales and resource requirements are forecasted and agreed.
•	Ensuring all deliverables for service introduction are completed. 
•	Coordinate resources to support implementation planning and execution into the live environment.
•	Production of all project documentation such as project plans, finance tracker, resource scheduling, DR proving packs and weekly progress reports.

Recent Projects:
•	Pega Strategic International Payments Correspondence Replacement (SIPC) – 
This was a risk remediation project address an open operational risk where all aspects of the international payments service were out of support (application and the underlying infrastructure). I was responsible for the infrastructure build of 8 new Route to Live environments made up of RHEL7 Oracle 12c database and WAS 8.5 application servers. This introduced new technology not previously used in the bank. On completion of each environment the application was deployed before handing over to the application development team.  Post go-live I coordinated ITS resources to address defects over the warranty period. I planned and implemented disaster recovery tests to prove resiliency then ultimately handing over to BAU.

Recent Projects:
•	Service migrations to the Government’s secure Public Services Network (PSN) – I was responsible for the migration of SLC services from the Government Secure Intranet (GSI) onto the Public Services Network (PSN). Working closely with 3rd parties to complete cabling work then install and configure new routers into SLC data centres. The migration of services involved management and co-ordination of HMPO, HMRC, Government Gateway, Atos, Vodafone, Fujitsu and SLC resources.
•	Network Remediation - Part of the Security Programme, my responsibility in this project was to ensure that the existing SLC network is adequately protected against cyber attacks by resolving network security issues highlighted in a government pen test.
•	Hybrid Mail – Managed the infrastructure build and application development for a centralised printing solution. Part the Near-term Benefits Programme, this project benefitted SLC in lowering printing and postage costs.

Atos

Working in the Atos Scotland PM practice delivering a variety of I.T projects comprising new and enhanced services for several different end customers including BBC Scotland, ACCA. NHSScotland, Skills Development Scotland and Aberdeen City Council. 
Project sizes vary and involve running multiple concurrent projects to demanding timescales and fixed costs through all stages of the project life cycle from project initiation to project closure and handover to BAU, whilst effectively managing project teams made up of virtual, offshore, 3rd party and customer resources. 

Core responsibilities:
 
• Ensuring that realistic estimates of costs, timescales and resource requirements are forecasted and agreed.
• Managing project teams made up of internal staff and third party suppliers.
• Ensuring that procedures and controls are in place to manage the risks to the Project and to the clients' business. 
• Ensuring that comprehensive project, quality, and risk plans are prepared and maintained. 
• Working closely with clients in order to spot and generate opportunities for further work within the account.
• Producing detailed weekly and monthly reports highlighting progress, risks, issues and the financial position on the project.

Recent Projects
•Data migration of 22 NHS Scotland health boards made up of 200,000 users onto a customised Oracle HRMS solution. 
•Global rollout of Microsoft Lync at ACCA. 
•NHS Scotland Server Decommissioning – This project internal to Atos was to decommission 230 servers that had been replaced as part of various technical refreshes. The project was a tidy up exercise of the Livingston and ScoLocate data centres involving wiping data, removing networking, , storage and under floor cabling.

Infrastructure Project Manager

As Change Manager for Atos Origin on the NHS Scotland contract, my main duties included taking ownership of changes for the full lifecycle. This included assessing, prioritising and evaluating RFC’s to ensure all required information is provided and conducting a risk assessment prior to seeking appropriate technical and business approvals as well as keeping close communication with the customer. Preparing, chairing and minuting the Change Advisory Board meetings held twice a week. Liaising and communicating with clients both internal and external. Training and delivering Change Management workshops to both internal clients and customer user base.I have introduced enhancements driven by ITIL best practices into Change Management which has improved Projected Service Availability.

SAIC

At SAIC i was part of a team of 2 responsible for software Change Management for BP.  Duties included validating and quality checking Request for Changes for all required information prior to submitting to BP. This included ensuring pre and post implementation testing was documented, implementation and backout plans were achievable. 
As single point of contact I was responsible of communicating with key stakeholders advising of the proposed work and dealing with any concerns. I prepared and chaired internal SAIC CAB meetings as well as representing SAIC at the BP CAB meeting.

Providing 1st /2nd line support to all Scottish Power business users, troubleshooting various desktop, network, system and application software issues, including Windows XP, MS Outlook, Novell Netware, HP printers, etc and over 300 business specific applications via telephone and email.  Liaising and logging faults with third party vendors including IBM, Logica CMG, Cap Gemini, THUS, and Computer Centre. 
Managing the Incident Management queues ensuring all incidents are logged correctly and are actioned within SLA as well as taking ownership of escalated incidents ensuring they are dealt with accordingly with the relevant teams until completion.
