Not hiring a full-time team was one of the biggest mistakes I made as an agency founder. 

When I left my job in 2023, I had a few retainer clients. Slowly, the work started picking up, and I was working with some amazing founders. 

That phase made me learn so much. I was handling a lot of things myself. 

But I didn't have a full-time team. I was mostly working with freelancers and had interns. 
It went like that for a couple of months. 

I was scared to hire full-time time not because we didn't have clients, but because I was avoiding the risk. 

One day, I realised, to scale the business, I need a supportive and full-time team. 

Now that we have a good team, I understand the difference. 

This is for every early founder. Starting out is scary; the fear of failure is always there, but these risks in business are going to take you closer to your goals.

I had a weird experience of hiring a Gen Z Intern!

Last month I was looking for a social media intern for my agency. I circulated a Google Form to get applicants and I got quite a few of them.

After taking multiple interviews, I finally got the right candidate.

The intern got onboarded and started work in the first week of October. The initial days were fine. He was doing his work nicely.

Then next Monday when it was work-from-office day, he didn’t turn up. Despite my messages and calls, there was no reply.

I wasn’t sure what happened.
Then around 12 p.m., I received a message from him. It said, he won’t be able to continue because he is not feeling aligned and fulfilled.

For a second, I didn’t know what to reply.
So I replied, “Let’s get on a call to close this.”

I’ve always had great experiences working with Gen Z. They bring a fresh mindset, creativity, and amazing energy. But this one was different.

It’s completely okay to not feel aligned or to want to move on. But what’s not okay is ghosting or disappearing without communication.

Professionalism is not about how old you are. It’s about how you handle responsibilities, even the uncomfortable ones.

As founders, we end up learning something new from every experience, sometimes it’s about clients, sometimes it’s about people, and sometimes it’s just about patience.

This one was definitely about patience. 😅

When I first started offering personal branding services, I made the mistake of making it affordable.

I assumed more people would say 'Yes' if it didn’t cost much.

But that's not true. 

Low price led people to doubt me. 
They’d ask for extra calls, more proofs, more reassurance.

Turns out, low price doesn’t attract the right clients.
It attracts hesitation.

The moment I started charging what my work was truly worth, things flipped. 

- More confidence 
- Better clients
- Faster decisions

Sometimes, raising your price isn’t about money.
It’s about respect for your time, your skill, and your growth.

At 20, I failed my MBA entrance exam.
At 22, I got fired from my job.
At 24, I started my own business.
At 25, I’m running a 7-figure agency.

The journey was far from smooth (of course).
I faced a lot of doubts, criticism, and “free advice.”

“Why are you leaving your job to start a business?”
“You can’t build a business with content.”
“You’ll never get clients through LinkedIn.”

That’s what people around me told me 3 years ago

People expect you to do a regular job.
People want you to play safe, stay average, stay normal.

But if you keep listening to them, you’ll end up living their version of success not yours.

Here’s what I’ve learned:
People don’t lack opinions.
They lack your vision.

Instead of following others, I decided to follow myself.
And that one decision changed everything.

I built my agency from scratch, using the same thing people said wouldn’t work: content.

Today, we’ve helped 100+ founders and creators build powerful personal brands, generated over 50M+ views and proven that LinkedIn can grow both people and businesses.

When I look back, quitting my job was one of the best decisions of my life.

Do I still have bad days, weeks, or even months? Absolutely.

But that’s part of growth because consistency matters more than comfort.

And honestly, my mind isn’t on celebrations, it’s on growth.

Somewhere between growing up and growing wiser, birthdays changed.

At 26, I’m not chasing moments that look good on camera

I’m chasing moments that feel good in life.

This year, I aim to work on myself and grow.

When I started creating content on LinkedIn, I was everywhere.

I tried trends, catchy hooks, hashtags, personal stories, carousels etc. 

And honestly, it worked well for a sometime. 
I was getting followers, impressions, and comments. I was really happy that my profile was growing. 

But I didn't realise I was not going in wrong direction. 

People saw my content but didn't remember me. 

I was chasing visibility, not influence.

When you focus on everything, people get confused and doesn't know for who they should follow you.

When your content shows one clear message
People start associating you with one clear idea.
That’s when your personal brand grows.

Now, every time I write, I ask myself one question:
“Will this post make people remember what I stand for?”

Visibility gets you seen. Influence gets you chosen.

What’s your biggest lesson from creating content on LinkedIn?

When I started building brands on LinkedIn, I used to obsess over likes.

100 likes felt like success. 10 likes felt like failure. 

But here’s what I’ve learned after managing 100+ personal brands: 

- It’s not about how many people see your post.
- It’s about how many care enough to engage.

 Even if: 

💬 10 people drop thoughtful comments

🔁 3 share or save your post

📩 5 start a real conversation in DMs. 

You’ve already won.

Because those 18 people will help increase the reach of your post better than inactive followers.

 But most people still: 

❌ Post at random times

❌ Write generic tips

❌ Chase vanity metrics 

If that's what you have been doing. Just pivot.

LinkedIn growth isn’t luck, it’s strategy.

And it starts when you stop chasing everyone and focus on the people who care. 

What’s your strategy to increase engagement on LinkedIn?

My team creates 100's of posts every month for clients, but I write my LinkedIn content myself. 

Because I choose to do so. 

When I started to grow on LinkedIn, I was writing posts myself, and ever since, I have had this habit.

And suddenly giving it to the team feels wrong. 

Not because they are not competent enough (in fact, they are best at it), but because it all started with my content, and I want to maintain that. 

This may sound ironic as we push founders to outsource content to us, and at the same time, I write my content myself. 

But content is the king of our business, and my profile is the source of that. 

So, handling it personally makes sense. 

At least for now, this is what I do, maybe in the future I can think of outsourcing (not sure, maybe)

P.S. Do you think I am following the right approach?

42 days left until 2025 ends, and everyone is already talking about new goals. 

But honestly, I am not the person who sets New Year targets.

Every time I tried, I followed them for just one week. 

So this year I have decided to do things differently. 

Instead of making a list of goals, I am focusing on actions that bring me closer to my bigger aim.

→ Eating healthy and working out at least 3-4 days a week
→ Learning new skills 
→ Improving my negotiation skills
→ Plan a family holiday 
→ Create a suitable environment for the team 
→ Get better at making videos 
→ Attend more offline events 
→ Do offline meetings with clients 
→ Invest time in myself 

If something matters to me, I will work on it today, not in January.

So for the rest of 2025, I am doing things that help me grow a little more. 

Your goals do not need a new year.

They only need a new intention.

How are you preparing for 2026?

Anupam Kher has only 6 connections and 39,804 followers on LinkedIn.

This is not because he’s an actor and doesn’t want to add people to his network.
It’s a move to make relevant connections.

I’ve seen many people accept all the connection requests they receive on LinkedIn.
Sure, this increases your connection count, but also clutters your network with people who might never add value.

I made the same mistake when I started out.
Soon I realised I was adding random folks who had nothing in common with my goals.

That’s when I decided to filter my requests before accepting them.

Now, I look at three simple things before hitting “Accept”:

1️⃣ The person should be in my target audience- founders, C-suites, marketers, etc.
2️⃣ The profile should have basic optimisation - profile picture, headline, and about section at least.
3️⃣ The person should be active - posting, engaging, or adding value to the platform.

If we follow a few simple rules while building our online network, the quality of conversations and opportunities changes completely.

In fact, I regularly remove irrelevant connections too.

Because a smaller, high-quality network is better than a larger and disconnected one

Your LinkedIn network is your personal ecosystem, the more intentional you are about it, the more powerful it becomes.
