With a focus on guiding students/early talent through their transition from education to employment, I build strategic partnerships with education institutions and other student-focused groups across Au and NZ. I've created a programme which includes training (since 2022 67,600+ students have learnt the latest MYOB online software as part of their accounting, bookkeeping and/or business course), workshops, guest lectures, competitions and industry events to provide students with the knowledge and support they need to enter the workforce job-ready. This has resulted in MYOB engaging with at least another 10,000 students each year. I love how education is full of promise, ambition and opportunity. I have also supported MYOB’s Talent Team with our employer branding, helping to further amplify our employee value proposition and build our brand in the talent marketplace and within our organisation. I currently serve on the boards of the NZAGE (New Zealand Association of Graduate Employers) and Massey University School of Accountancy. I graduated from the University of Bristol, England, where I was born and raised, before moving to NZ in 2010. My career has been diverse, starting in recruitment and event sales in London, to working for three of NZ’s largest media companies in Auckland, before joining MYOB in 2015. I live in Canterbury with my wife and two children. I'm interested in how technology is shaping business, disruption and adaptability, the changing nature of the workforce and workplace (future of work), and career advice, job searching, interviews, networking, personal branding and using platforms like LinkedIn to help early talent achieve their education/career goals. I have a strong background in sales and relationship building, shown by my ability to connect with all levels of business and social contacts, especially with engaging early talent and education professionals in my current role. I'm goal orientated with a clear and concise vision of objectives, as demonstrated by my relocation to NZ, employment history, completion of my degree, commitment to sports (completed 3 marathons and 11 half-marathons) and leisure pursuits (played 11 a-side football for 9 seasons in Auckland).
