Indian Air Force (IAF)

    Spearheaded issuance of maintenance management policies and provisioning management of a specific military aircraft fleet. Negotiated numerous Govt of India Defence Revenue Contracts accruing substantial savings.

	Involved in coining of MRO contract and negotiation with various Russian and western OEM of SU-30 aircraft.

Director of Engineering

Headed a team of 450 technical manpower of a premier IAF base for managing various facets of aircraft workspace and engineering support systems towards meeting 24x7 availability of combat aircraft fleet to operational squadrons.

Chief Engineering Officer

Handled post-contract management of an aircraft upgrade project worth $ 1.1 billion through its original foreign manufacturer at planning, execution, monitoring and control phase, including the Offset implementation segment of $ 308 million as per DPP manual.

Director of Project

Instructional experience in imparting military aircraft system knowledge to pilots, engineers, scientists and technicians of Indian Air Force, DPSUs and DRDO. As Commanding Officer of the IAF military training school with 100 instructional and administrative staff, offering 15 concurrent courses of varying duration, developed innovative theoretical and practical training concepts through industry participation. Involved in authoring and publishing of complete range of training and reference manuals of the aircraft fleet and maintenance of its e-Knowledge Management Portal. Provided domain expert knowledge to ADA, Bangalore in developing a Maintenance Training Simulator for the trainees. Planned and conducted training to over 100 pilots / engineers / technicians of Royal Malaysian Air Force on two different military aircraft, the pioneering KPO venture of IAF.

Commanding Officer

Worked in the field on first line aircraft maintenance on a military aircraft and mission critical equipment for safe conduct of daily flying operations. Planned and executed overseas deployment of the aircraft detachment for an international military exercise with 100 men with utmost precision and international coordination.

Senior Engineering Officer

Worked in both ‘D’ &‘I’ level maintenance in Repair & Overhaul (ROH), system integration and logistics management of aircraft and its sub-assemblies (LRUs) of a military aircraft. As Production Engineer, led 300 men to ensure that various performance standards set in the quality manual are consistently met and continuously improved through innovations. Institutionalized philosophy of 5-S Methodology in the aircraft/rotable production work centers. Coordinated a Project led by NAL, Bangalore for ascertaining fatigue life of the aircraft involving instrumentation, mass-data storage and preparation for FSFT (Full Scale Fatigue Testing).

20+ years of Aerospace Operations and Project Management experience in Indian Air Force.

10+ years of experience in Military Aircraft MRO at ‘O’, ‘I’ and ‘D’ Level.
Headed a Military Aviation Training Management for professional training for Air and Groundcrew.
