I believe that the most dangerous risks in business are not the ones you can't see, but the ones you refuse to quantify.

My career has been defined by two parallel pursuits: building technology that secures the future, and cultivating the leadership mindset required to govern it.

The Professional Focus:

As the Founder of Entrust and Zafer, I spent over a decade building patented blockchain technologies to secure mission-critical data. Today, I advise Boards and Audit Committees on bridging the "Governance Gap."

My mandate is to help organizations move security from a cost center to a valuation safeguard by:

1. Elevating the CISO role to a strategic fiduciary partner.
2. Quantifying the liabilities of data sprawl and vendor risk.
3. Translating geopolitical cyber risk into Board-level strategy.

The Personal Philosophy:
Beyond the technical, I am driven by an obsession with lifelong learning. Through my time at Harvard Business School (HBS) and as an active member of YPO, I am constantly challenging my own assumptions and refining my judgment through peer-to-peer engagement.

I bring this dual perspective—the precision of a technologist and the breadth of a lifelong student—to every Board seat and advisory role I hold.

Shadow AI is the biggest unmanaged risk in the enterprise today. Your people are feeding sensitive data into public LLMs to be efficient, but they are creating an unmitigated liability. 

Banning the tools is a failed strategy because it only drives usage deeper into the shadow. 

The mandate for the Board is not exclusion, but control and visibility. Here is the three-step framework for governing internal AI usage: 

1. The Secure Sandbox Provision: Immediately provision and mandate a secure, internal environment (sandbox) for all LLM use. All employee interactions and data uploads must be routed exclusively through this monitored environment. 

2. The Output Audit Mandate: Institute a rule that output from any LLM, regardless of where it was generated, must be treated as Unverified Content until reviewed by the compliance or security team. The risk of AI-driven data poisoning is too high to trust output instantly. 

3. The Data Minimization Layer: The sandbox environment must be built with a default data minimization layer. If the data is not strictly required for the LLM task, it cannot be uploaded. Control the flow, not just the access. 

Stop fighting the technology. Start governing the data flow.
