Dedicated professional with a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc) in Workforce Education & Development from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. I'm a career-oriented professional with over 15 years of leadership and management experience, with the past five years focused in adult education and training. I possess a strong background in training development, facilitation, team building, motivating, mentoring and coaching. With a recent transition into Talent Acquisitions, I work with candidates, hiring managers, schedulers, and onboarding, to provide a smooth flow for our candidates into the organization. I’m the first point of contact (in most cases) for people who wish to enter the workforce with Northrop Grumman. I review resumes verse the job requisition, prescreen, request feedback from interviews, assist in offer processes, counter offers, and onboarding. I have a passion for helping others! I learned this fairly early in my life, but it became readily apparent in 2019/2020. During my process of retiring (military transition) I discovered a non-profit and it was eye opening! Since then, I've been providing assistance to Veterans, separating service members (regardless of branch) and MilSpouses. I work with them on resumes, career goals, job seeking, day-to-day advice, etc. Helping people attain their professional goals is very intrinsically rewarding. There is nothing more exciting than to hear that someone I assisted land the role they were pursuing! In my volunteer time I work with others in drafting/building Master resumes, explaining Basic Qualifications (BQ) vs. Preferred Qualifications (PQ), creating tailored resumes, and comparing those resumes verse job requisitions. I assist people in preparing for job interviews as well.
