JUCCCE is an NGO at the heart of the greening of China since 2007. Catalyzing societal scale changes in smart-grid, eco-city development, use of energy efficient lighting, embedding sustainability in a new national identity of China Dream, healthy and sustainable diets.

JUCCCE is an environmental organization at the heart of the greening of China since 2007. It is a leading catalysts of a green China and consults companies and governments on sustainability and cross-cultural collaboration with China. 

Key JUCCCE milestones:
• In 2007, JUCCCE was formed out of the MIT Forum on the Future of Energy in China. This forum was the first public dialogue between US and Chinese government officials on clean energy in China, just as China was just starting to look seriously at greening itself.
• Introduced Smart Grid to China in 2007 that catalyzed USD7.2 billion in initial investment by the State Grid in 2009 as well as their roadmap to implement smart grid by 2020. This revolutionized electricity distribution as well as created an onramp for renewable energies.
• Educated ~1000 Chinese government leaders (mayors and central government) on how to build
sustainable cities. These trainings helped shape eco city trends in China over 10 years.
• Catalyzed China’s change in using incandescents to energy efficient compact fluorescent lighting. Lighting is the lowest hanging fruit in terms of energy efficiency returns.
• Created the China Dream initiative in 2010 to reimagine prosperity for sustainable consumerism that led to China Dream being the second most popular slogan in 2012. Environmental protection is now embedded into the national priority and identity of China.
• Launched Food Heroes in 2013, China's first comprehensive kids' healthy food curriculum. Changing diets is now the main priority of JUCCCE.
