Welcome to the A0K1VERSE, a proprietary global web3 community platform for music fans featuring dynamic NFTs as the membership key. Launched by globally renowned DJ / investor Steve Aoki, A0K1VERSE is the first of its kind, leading the future of fan engagement by identifying and rewarding  our most important consumers: superfans. 

This new web3 initiative provides a multitude of both physical and digital rewards for fans, including free Steve Aoki concert tickets, early access to his NFT releases, private events, metaverse experiences, free merchandise, digital wearables and exclusive access to apparel and collectible collaborations.

Sonu is a new web3 streaming protocol that uses DeFi primitives (decentralized finance basic building blocks) to put the financial power back into artists’ hands with its rewards model, auctions and ad-free streaming. Sonu beta launched in November of 2023 with Sonu Stream, a free music streaming service with zero subscriptions or ads combined with a marketplace where artists share music and auction off SONAs, “digital twins” or digital assets of songs that can only be owned by one person at a time.

• Successfully grew the Voting membership for Pop & Dance/Electronic artists by 25% over three years. Achieved this milestone through a global strategic outreach program, tapping into both established and emerging markets within these genres.
• Drove a 35% year-over-year increase in Dance/Electronic award entries, focusing on under-represented sub-genres. Utilized extensive networking and scouting skills to unearth and showcase diverse talents from across the globe.
• Spearheaded artist relations for the Pop & Dance/Electronic genres, establishing and deepening international relationships with labels, managers, and publicists. Collaborated closely with the Membership Department to integrate high-profile artists and industry executives into the Academy, keeping the institution at the forefront of industry trends and talent. 
• Served as the in-house Talent Producer for "GRAMMY Salute To Music Legends," managing all award recipients for the prestigious GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award show. Ensured flawless production and artist representation for the annually televised event on PBS.
• As Licensing Manager for the GRAMMY Premiere Ceremony, effectively managed performance rights and backstage operations for artists and presenters. Played a pivotal role in orchestrating the talent flow for this high-profile event, streamed on GRAMMY.com for categories not featured on the CBS telecast.

Head of Pop & Dance/Electronic Music, Awards

• Led strategic planning and execution of large-scale and day-to-day events, managing comprehensive project aspects from budgeting and timeline development to venue selection and vendor management.
• Successfully oversaw events from conception through to execution, consistently meeting and exceeding operational goals. 
• Conducted in-depth market research to identify and secure appropriate sponsorship partners, aligning with each event's target audience and objectives. This strategy broadened event funding sources and resulted in nearly doubling each event's budget. 
• Collaborated with the Executive Director and Chapter Board of Governors to conceptualize and implement annual event strategies. Played a key role in establishing event objectives and developing independent campaigns, resulting in 15% increase in audience engagement in 2 & 1/2 years.
• Recruited, trained, and managed diverse event teams, including volunteer groups of up to 20 individuals per event. Demonstrated effective team leadership and resource management, ensuring seamless event operations and high levels of team morale and productivity.

• Led the management of all facets of a high-profile artist's life. Collaborated effectively with a London-based management team, publicists, and literary and photography agents, ensuring seamless coordination and top-tier operational management of all aspects of the artist's career.
• Spearheaded the operations of the artist's self-owned label, Little Idiot Records. 
• As Tour Manager, provided comprehensive support for all domestic and international DJ performance shows. Managed intricate contract riders, addressed personal artist needs, and supervised all production crew members, maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and efficiency.
• Organized and hosted multiple large-scale charitable events at the artist's residence, catering to over 100 guests per event. Managed budgets, coordinated with vendors, ensured tight security, and fostered sponsor/political partnerships, leading to successful events with significant community impact.
• Implemented and supervised the integration of an Executive/Studio Assistant and additional home-based staff. Managed recruitment, training, and daily operations, ensuring optimal support for the artist's personal and professional needs.

• Implemented all aspects of endorsement contract with K-Swiss brand and ensured that all wardrobe and accessories were within the contract guidelines at all times.
