Following the successful sale of Subserveo to DST Systems, Shannon remained on the leadership team to ensure a smooth transition for the current customers and make sure there were no disruptions to the business.

Shannon co-founded Subserveo, which has become a leader in the financial services space. The company provides automated post-trade surveillance and risk solutions to broker-dealers and banks in North America. By using Metronomics, Shannon was able to grow this company and sell it in less than one-third of the time it took with her first company, Paradata Systems. Best of all, she could lead confidently, knowing that she was steering her team in a great direction. Subserveo was acquired by DST Systems, a $3B public company, less than three years after Shannon co-founded it.

After Payment Processing Inc. acquired Paradata Systems Inc., Shannon stayed on to lead the Product and Technology division.

Paradata, which provides electronic payment solutions to banks and their customers in North America and Europe, was the first company Shannon co-founded. Though the company was venture-funded on day two, Shannon had absolutely no clue how to scale the business. It was during the growing periods of this company that she created Metronomics, the blueprint she desperately craved but hadn’t found in any mentorship session or business book she read. Shannon worked with a coach and leadership team to create a system that would drive measurable results. She began to see the business grow each quarter, and that eventually led to the company’s acquisition by Payment Processing Inc.

As a serial entrepreneur, leadership coach, and growth strategist, I am passionate about helping CEOs and leadership teams build sustainable, high-growth businesses.

Over the past 20 years, I have founded and scaled two technology companies—Subserveo, Inc. and Paradata Systems—both of which were successfully acquired, six years apart. My entrepreneurial journey has been recognized with awards, including being named one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women, receiving the YWCA Women of Distinction Award for Entrepreneurship, and being a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

After the sale of my second company, a CEO colleague begged me to come out of retirement and coach him with my methodology. Soon, Metronomics was born—a comprehensive business growth system that blends strategy, execution, and cash to drive predictable, scalable success. Metronomics has since evolved into a community of more than 60+ global coaches who use Metronomics daily to create lasting impact for their clients, teams, and communities.
