Lately, I've been noticing a strange thing. 

I'm getting way too many typos in my write-ups. But this isn't the weird part.

I'm not even catching those mistakes during editing. 

And later, when I check through Grammarly, I'm like: "I just read this whole thing and didn't see it!!! How?" 

Maybe it's because my focus while reading is to check the flow, intent and direction. 

I don't specifically look for grammar and typos cause I know Grammarly will get it, but it can't get the former. 

But recently, my Grammarly chrome extension is behaving weirdly. 

So now I've to read my write-ups twice 🙂

P.S. Is anyone else noticing a difference in Grammarly?

Use the word "You" more often. 


❎Don't write: The water level can be adjusted as per your requirement. 

✅Write: You can adjust the water level as per your requirement. 

❎Don't write: There are 2 options. 

✅Write: You've 2 options.

It can be a yes or a no for your blog 

Comments, we're talking about comments today. 

And the question  is: "Should you open the comments section of your blog?" 

Hmmmm..... Well there's no definite answer. It depends. 

Opening comments will give you: 
✅Engagement on your blog 
✅Which helps with SEO 
✅You can get to know your audience 
✅It increases your reader's retention time 
✅And it drives traffic 

But it also gives you: 
❎A lot of spam comments
❎Which take time and energy to moderate 
❎Most of the traffic is from bots 

For most people comments cost more time and energy than they deliver value. 

⚡If you've a small blog, chances are you won't get any comments other than spam

⚡If you've a medium to fairly large blog with a consistent audience then comments can help. 

⚡If you've a huge blog, moderating the comments might be difficult and hou might need to outsource this task. But if you've a consistent audience it can be worth it.

"I don't need it. In fact, it's of no use to anyone" __It was at this moment I realized I messed up



She was my 2nd or 3rd client

The article was about keto diet

I woke up early to complete it, worked on it for 3 to 4 hours (consistently) and finally delivered it

And that at the top ☝️ was my client's review

She gave me a list of headings to include, and I being a dumb newbie, thought it was only for ideas and inspiration. 

I wrote that article as I was writing an essay

Didn't understand the search intent at all and wrote everything about keto diet, from what it is to why it is

I thought I could write however I want 🤦 

I was upset but not because I lost the client but because of her loss. She had committed that article to her client (oops!)

This was a big hit for me, and it made me learn so much that she was my first and last unsatisfied client


Looking back now, I realize how far I've come. From writing like an essay to

🔥writing for the internet audience 
🔥understanding the core of it 
🔥and helping people and businesses get to their goals with the same content

Moral: Learn from your mistakes and your hits. They come to uplift you. And never do the same mistake again.

Your blog posts should be authoritative. We all have heard this, but do you know how to do it?

Here are 2 ways to bring your reader in confidence and build trust.

👉"1. Be an expert in the field."

◼️Clearly mention your expertise in the introduction, so the readers know this is coming from a veteran.

◼️Better if you can add a small picture and author bio at the top. The picture will be the first thing the reader will notice.

🔥Result: The reader sticks till the end as they know it's not written randomly by any dude. They're getting genuine first-hand information here.

👉"2. Talk on behalf of experts."

◼️Back up your every claim with research.

◼️Quote the authorities of that niche.

◼️Mention in the introduction that every claim you make and every piece of information is coming from research and authorities.

🔥Result: The reader stays because the claims aren't made by any random person. They're coming from the experts, and your write-up is only building on it.

There's no "one size fits all" thing in content strategy. 


◾If someone's primary focus is SEO, it doesn't mean it should be yours too.

◾If someone is doing little to no SEO it doesn't mean you should follow the same. 

Every business/blog has different goals. And their content strategy is according to it.

If you have a new blog, you have to take this seriously


One of my clients who has a new site has started to see results. 

What's the secret? 

They're targeting the right keywords. 

Even when I'm researching to write on a keyword, the SERPs clearly show that there's not very good content on that topic. Means there's room for us. 


So no matter 
🔥how fast your site loads
🔥how good your design is 
🔥how many content pieces you have 
🔥how much effort you put in writing and researching 
🔥how user-friendly and to-the-point your blog posts are 

If you're targeting the wrong keywords, you won't see results. 


Take it like this. You can't build a skyscraper on a weak foundation. In our case, keywords are the foundation, and your blog is the skyscraper.


Go for 
👉long-tail, low-competition keywords 
👉Keywords whose SERPS isn't serving the audience well (create killer content around it, and you'll have a more chance of ranking)

Avoid 
👉Short tail keywords like digital marketing or baking
👉Don't go to a place occupied by big fishes. Your site doesn't have strength to fight this battle at the moment.
