Received a $1200 grant from the organizer to present the theoretical model at the ISIE conference in Lisbon, Portugal.

Southern Illinois University

Completed two projects on community based resource management. 
The first assessed the role of user groups in park management. The work is published in the Journal of Outdoor Recreation, Education and Leadership. 
The second project was designed to evaluate a community based program in rural villages in Nepal, which is published as a MS thesis.
Received McIntire-Stennis Cooperative Forest Research Grant of $ 2,300.
Received $ 400 as a travel award to participate in the 2nd International Conference: Emerging Issues Along Urban/Rural Interfaces.
