With over 15 years of work experience, I am a passionate theatre expert who empowers public programming and engagement at the Institute for the Humanities at the University of Michigan. I combine my academic credentials in theatre arts with my entrepreneurial spirit and community-oriented mindset to create and deliver impactful and inclusive events, workshops, and initiatives that showcase the relevance and diversity of the humanities. I am driven by the mission of the institute to foster critical inquiry, interdisciplinary collaboration, and public engagement, and I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team as a founder of a bakery business and a former theatre and creative arts company. As the Assistant Director of Public Programming & Engagement, I oversee the planning, development, and implementation of various public programs and activities that engage the campus and the broader community with the humanities. I work with faculty, staff, students, and external partners to design and deliver innovative and accessible events, such as lectures, panel discussions, film screenings, exhibitions, performances, and workshops, that highlight the research, scholarship, and creative work of the institute's fellows and affiliates. I also manage the communication and outreach strategies of the institute, using my skills in social networking, cultural awareness, and communication to promote the institute's vision, values, and offerings to diverse audiences and stakeholders.
