Way too risky... 

What good excuses could they possibly have? 🤔 
❔ Company was purchased.
❔ Company lost funding.
❔ Mass layoffs and eliminating most recent hires.
❔ Manager left and was never replaced.
❔ Manager is very challenging to work with.
❔ Toxic culture.
❔ Told it was 25% travel but it's 75%.
❔ Was 100% remote and now I have to travel 15 hours a week to/from the office.

The takeaway? 

When you see movement on a CV, don't assume.

Instead, be curious.

In some cases, you may be right. They may be a risky hire.

In other cases, you may have just passed on an "A" player who just had some bad luck.

Don't be the latter!
