I am a motivated, diligent and highly skilled professional with extensive experience and a successful track record in managing and developing people, disseminating good practice and implementing effective changes in my teams. I have proudly progressed from Class Teacher to a Phase Leader and then to Maths Leader of a primary school, which formed part of middle management and the senior leadership team. I have been involved in senior strategic planning, decision making and change management in my previous positions, which included writing action plans that outlined aims, actions and impact. Due to these plans being working documents, I regularly updated and monitored it and presented changes, objectives and outcomes to governors and other members of the leadership team. I introduced a new approach to planning and delivering maths across Kenmont Primary School and implemented significant changes to the maths curriculum at the school. I observed and monitored staff performance and improvement opportunities and presented innovative action plans during the OFSTED inspection, leading to a successful result in maths. Furthermore, I facilitated parent workshops to inform school community about how we teach maths as well as the introduction of homework for parents to support the children at home. I was also elected by my colleagues as a Staff Governor at Heathmere Primary School to represent staff matters on the school governing board and attend meetings to discuss the strategic development of the school.
