I am passionate about helping children and adolescents understand and find freedom and healing in their mental health. The toxic levels of trauma and stress experienced by a child is linked to poor physical and mental health throughout life. 1 in 5 children has a mental disorder, but only about 20% of these children receive care from a mental health provider. Unaddressed childhood mental health problems can lead to continual struggles in self-regulation, emotional adaptability, relating to others, and self-understanding. And that's why I'm here. I utilize a variety of evidence-based approaches (Play Therapy, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness) to facilitate the healing process. I believe in integrating a holistic, trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to promote healing within individuals and families. Seeking to fight the stigma of mental illness by empowering youth to overcome personal challenges and learn more about their mental health.
