Sheryl Sachs, MSPO, CPO, has worked at Dankmeyer for over 12 years, including a short break during a move out of state. She completed her undergraduate work at University of Maryland, College Park, and graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with her Master of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics. Sheryl completed both her prosthetics & orthotics residencies at Dankmeyer, Inc. She was the lead practitioner and ran the North Baltimore office located on the main campus of Sinai Hospital for over 7 years, and currently works as senior clinician and NCOPE residency mentor at the main office. Sheryl is an active member of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (AAOP). She currently serves on the executive committee on the board for the National Commission for Orthotic and Prosthetic Education (NCOPE) and is a former residency liaison for NCOPE. She is the current chair of NCOPE's Residency Standards Committee. She is also active with the American Orthotic & Prosthetic Association (AOPA), serving on the Government Relations Committee, and as a state representative, participating in their annual Policy Forum, advocating for her patients on Capitol Hill. She currently is leading Maryland's "So EveryBODY Can Move" initiative, working with legislators to introduce legislation during the 2024 legislative session.
