In 2001, I bowed out of a highly decorated career with the Singapore Police Force to pursue the calling of delivering business savvy legal solutions to organizations and stakeholders. I identify myself as a corporate legal counsel and strategic business partner who possesses diverse experience in providing legal advice, risk mitigation and exposure minimization strategies to regional and global organizations. My industry expertise includes real estate, oil and gas (upstream), energy, technology, telco, payments/fintech, healthcare and semiconductors, etc. Currently, I am the APAC Head of Legal and Compliance of FUJIFILM Asia Pacific, FUJIFILM Healthcare Asia Pacific and FUJIFILM Electronic Materials Process Chemical Solutions where FUJIFILM has diversified from selling cameras into delivering medical imaging devices and electronic materials solutions. I lead a Singapore team of 3 professionals and oversee an Asia Pacific team of 15 regional lawyers. I collaborate strategically with teams through innovative negotiations, conflict resolutions, and deal-structuring tactics. Additionally, I forge solid relationships with strategic partners and build consensus across multiple organizational levels through strong employee engagement. My personal upbringing and background (from humble origins) and my work as a former police officer have built emotional intelligence, resilience, grit, and adaptability or agility to any situation, including high-pressure and fast-paced environments as well as varying personalities. I am passionate about continuous development and building my legal knowledge to provide legal advisory and support to business units, leadership teams, and projects, regionally and/or globally.
