According to the October 2022 Bureau of Labor Statistics report, 4.2 million workers quit.

While we’ve long surpassed the period dubbed the Great Resignation, we’ve learned some lessons about employee needs. 

Employees are still leaving for better opportunities, even amid economic uncertainty and change. And there’s data to suggest that quitting is contagious, which makes it difficult for organizations to stop losing employees.


According to the data, managers also influence their team’s performance. BetterUp Labs studied 1,600 teams. 

The results showed that if a manager is struggling with a key capability, it’s likely their employees will feel the impact.


For example, managers who measured low in agility saw a decrease in their team’s agility. 

Poor management (like micromanaging) can have negative effects on your workforce. Ultimately, it can lead to employees looking for new opportunities.

Employees are today more aware and they prioritize their respect as well as their work-life balance and that is what gets difficult with hard-to-handle managers.

My Tedx speech wasn’t the best ! 

Haha, I was upset with my performance

Wasn’t the best of my best performances 

May be, I was not prepped or was too over confident or May be too overwhelmed 

Relax ! “We don’t always have to be the best"

Mum says this to her lil girl over a telephone call 

I felt relaxed and then realised why my trainees keep on talking about things like : 

-I can’t do 
-I am not the best ! 
-People will think how can I do this badly 
-May be I need to practice in front of the world 

Why do we beat ourselves up over a less-than-perfect performance? 

It's a question that's plagued me, especially as I've noticed similar self-doubt in my trainees.

The truth is, we're often our own harshest critics. 

We fear judgment, worry about not being good enough, and dread the idea of failing in front of others. 

But here's the thing: embracing imperfection is key to growth. 

It's okay not to be perfect, especially when it comes to public speaking.

So how can we overcome this fear and become great public speakers? Here are some pointers:

Practice, Practice, Practice:  Preparation is key. Practice your speech until you feel confident, but also accept that it won't be flawless, and that's okay.

Focus on Connection: Share your story authentically and engage with your listeners on a personal level.

Embrace Feedback: Don't fear criticism. Constructive feedback can help you identify areas for growth and refine your speaking skills.

Start Small: Build your confidence gradually by starting with smaller speaking engagements before tackling larger ones. Each successful experience will boost your confidence and help you overcome your fear.

So, the next time you find yourself feeling anxious about public speaking, remember my mom's words: "We don't always have to be the best."

I hated my college.

but not those college days..

they were just lit with so many experiences, memories & what not 

Why I hated my college was that they did not provide me with any relevant internship experience. 

As just in my summer break I went with a friend of mine for an interview which was the first of my life 

and, I was rejected just because someone else had an internship experience in the same field. 

Who would you hire someone with internships but a lesser academic score or someone with a better academic score but no internships?

Attend classes, pay attention to your grades, graduate, and land a solid job to advance your career.

Although this has long been known, how much of an impact does it still have in the modern workplace and economy? 

Is it really that important?

What do you think ?

The findings of a survey we did among some university's most recent graduates. We were interested in finding out if students who participated in credit-bearing internships often found full-time employment at a different rate than those who did not.

 What did we discover? 

At the time of our study (averaged approximately 6 months after graduation), graduates who had undertaken a for-credit internship during their undergraduate studies were nearly 12% more likely to be employed full-time in their preferred field.

Your experience defines your genuine expertise in a subject; your degree only indicates your level of knowledge in that particular area. 

Employers thus place a greater emphasis on candidates' internships and prior work experience in order to have a deeper knowledge of their practical skills. 

That is the reason why many candidates with an average college score do way better in their careers than their college toppers. 

Soft skills are essentially personal attributes that are needed for employees to succeed in their jobs.

While hard skills are job-specific skills that can be gained through education, certifications, or training programs, soft skills can only be achieved through experience. 

The future's abilities are soft skills. It is imperative that firms place greater emphasis on a candidate's actual qualities and talent rather than just their degree.

My most haunted story !

 As a kid, I was always scared of going on the stage and speaking since it always made me nervous. 

Skipped the part in college by hiding and seriously couldn't get away from it.

Ever seen people called upon to introduce themselves but what they only reply with is 

“I'm an introvert” or just their name. I mean I've really been that kid. 

I mean you really don't go singing and dancing everywhere but you really have to go speaking everywhere especially when you have a career like me. 

Being scared is natural but keeping that way is what makes you one to be blamed. 

Being able to engage with people and communicate ideas is really important since there's a lot of times that you lose opportunities just because you are not able to communicate what you want to. 

Soft skills, instructional design skills,subject matter expertise and much more is all taht you need to be a trainer and being in this profession for long now I see- 

70% of people believe that wasted time is one of the worst consequences of poor communication.

84% of employees rely on their manager for communication, to some degree.

Is what says the workplace and communication statistics.
