As the marketing champion at#UBreathe I was able to improve the branding of the organisation. I was creating long-term as well as short-term content and marketing strategy which improved the audience interaction with the brand by 25%
I have also created over 100+ content for the brand through storytelling including but not limited to films, brochures, sales material, branding material and more.

As the country Operations Manager, I established the India office space, the operations for the team in India, and built a team of 12 people for the Australian publishing giant within the first year of operations. 
I was responsible for the people and culture management of the office and acted as the primary link between the Australian executive management and the staff in India.  I also oversaw and supervised the day-to-day functioning operations of the office and the staff. 
My primary goal was to create an 'employee-first' culture in the India office which also meant culture creation and management. 
As part of my role as the country operations manager, I also created innovative processes for administration, and recruitment where I built a team of qualified and passionate professionals within a year to work on various brands published by nextmedia Australia.

As the Ad Ops Campaign Manager, I was responsible for client management in the B2B Sales department.
The primary responsibility as an ACM was to manage end-to-end Ad Campaigns for various technology clients for our brands such as CRN, iTnews, Bit, IoTHub and Digital Nation. 
I also presented insights and reports to clients as part of client and campaign management.

As someone who voluntarily came back from a ‘developed’ country, let me tell you a few things: 

1. Yes, racism very much exists. In places you dont know, in ways you cannot imagine. You are just a ‘brown girl’ to some people. Not all, some.
Just like caste exists in India, but many don’t see it because they are privileged. 

2. Yes, you will make a lot of money, but you will also spend a lot of money. Because that standard of living comes with a cost.
You can make a lot of money in India, or live with less money because of multiple ‘jugaad’ that you can do.

3. Yes, the healthcare system is NOT amazing. I had to personally wait 8 hours in a hospitals’ emergency ward outside India before they even took a look at me. Yes, it was almost fatal.
Yes, I’ve seen multiple medical failures in India, but I’ve also seen atleast 5 people get cancer and fully recover with amazing healthcare in India. 

4. Yes, you will still hang out with more Indians and Indian-adjacent because that’s just how it is. 
Just like in India friendship is often community-based. In fact some communities take pride in not having friends from other communities. 


There are multiple multiple reasons to stay outside India, but there are multiple reasons to not stay outside India as well.

Please be mindful and think about everything… if you’re being pushed out of somewhere, despite your best efforts, best behaviour, is it really worth being there?

Just move back to India, ya. 
I know it’s difficult, I know you wont earn as much, I know the living conditions are tough, I know, I know, I know.

But living abroad is also difficult in its own ways. The living conditions may not exactly be better, a lot of times, it can easily be soul-less, and I know enough people who genuinel just dont want to live there but have to because moving back is uncomfortable

But they are making it uncomfortable for you to live there too, haina?

Toh move back. You’ll be welcome with open arms.

I’ve been doing Instagram videos for over 5 months now (on and off)
And there are always some people who like and repost my content.
Honestly I didn’t think much of it earlier. 
But the more videos I made, the more I became grateful for these people.

I knew even if no one was watching, these 4-5 people were, and some days I just made the videos for these 4-5 people. Especially on days I felt that this was a lost cause and it was useless for me to try to be a content creator at all.

The point is, supporting a friend has never been this easy. It’s just a button, is just a like, it’s free, it’s pretty much less than a second’s work for you. If you do it, it lets them flourish, it helps them move forward in a journey that’s already really tough.

Do you think GenZ is frustrating?
Do you feel like they dont know anything and are probably a useless generation?
Do you feel anger at the pit of your stomach when they do something that they were supposed to, but dont use their brain? 
Do you feel spite when you see they are so much more comfortable in their bodies and minds?
Do you feel more anger when they do something but do use their brain? 

I know the solution. There are a few (better if done together)

1. Go to therapy and discuss why you want control over everyone’s minds
2. Go to the gym to channelise that extra energy so you don’t have any to yell at people just because you are their “senior”
3. Eat a high protein snack or drink water everytime you feel the urge to make someone else feel miserable. 

If none of these work, take up a role where you don’t need to be managing others till you are capable of it.
