I am a manager in Public Health specialising in Health Protection and Emergency Planning. I am responsible for the commissioning, implementation and management of a programme of community based and primary care public health interventions. The main focus is reducing the inequalities in health. Over the past two years I have been leading the Local Outbreak Management Team focusing on the Covid-19 response. Ensuring decisions, actions and risks were documented and reviewed and ensuring clinical governance measures were in place. I have a background in environmental health, specialising in food safety, health and safety and infectious diseases these transferable skills have been essential to transitioning to working in public health.
