Felt peace for the first time in years

Calling all world-changing entrepreneurs.

Yesterday I was at the Beyond Zero event and I realized something:

Behind all that I do is one overarching reason:

I want to help as many people make their big ambitions come through. 

Why? Because I think the world needs them. 

So I turn on when I come across someone like Linda Klunder, I turn on when I hear someone like @Juan Cruz tubio speak. 

Or when Sam M. gets going about helping Founders reconnect with themself.

And Rachel K Zhang, who is taking the world by storm everywhere she goes. 

Or Michelle Maree who is helping one half of the world connect with the other half and is enabling amazing ideas to help see the light. 

Or Emiliia Kotruch who is, at 19, going all-in with not one but two companies that change lives.

Today, at the Beyond Zero event of the Venture Center at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, Bas Rogaar had us do an exercise on finding our "Why".

Now, I have done this many times but today was different.

It made me get back to the core of why I do what I do.

Not the marketing jargon version
Not the personal branding statement

My inner drive. Raw and as I feel and think it. 

It made me realize that there is one overarching reason why I do what I do:

"To help as many people live their potential"

And here is why:

I believe we all have a potential inside of us, something that we have been given to add to the world. 

If you live your potential, you'll live aligned and as a result feel fulfilled. 

If you are "off purpose", you will feel empty, frustrated, and depressed. 

Moreover, I believe that if you live your purpose, you'll be a force of good. 

Maybe, you'll start a company that has an impact. 

Maybe, you'll start a movement. 

But it doesn't have to be big. 

You'll be a force of good on the people you interact with. 

Daily. 

Because happy people, tend to become of force of good and not destruction. 

So there you have it. That's why I love coaching high potentials and entrepeneurs. 

Because I want to help them start cool companies, cool initiatives so that they bring a force of good into the world and feel fulfilled while doing that. Isn't that cool! 🤩

That's how I create impact.

I have been thinking: what is the one thing I help people with?


To help them be more effective?
Sure, but that's a side effect.


To help them be more productive?
Yes, but to do what? 


To help them be healthier?
Important, but also a side effect.


So what is it?


It is this:

To live a life that fulfills them.

And you know why?


Because if you live in a way that truly fulfills you, you won't need drugs, alcohol, or junk food to numb the pain.


You won't neglect your lifestyle, your relationships, or your health.

You will feel energized every day, you will feel in awe of the magic of life, inspired to do your best work, to explore more of your potential, and to share it with as many people as you can.


In other words, you will be healthy, productive, but most importantly, fulfilled.

Sounds like a pipe dream to you?

Don't be so cynical. You also have a blueprint for happiness—all you need to do is ask yourself the right questions. 


In the end, all we want is to be happy.

And that's the one thing I help my clients with:


To create a life that truly fulfills them, so they can show up as their best selves, do cool things in the world, and be a force for good—for themselves and others.


Isn't that crazy? That I want to dedicate my time to that? 😉

I think most of us are lost. We don't realize anymore what this game is really about:

To live a life that fulfills you.

And before you start saying that this is to idyllic or naive, hear me out.

Feeling fulfilled doesn't mean sipping match lattes on Bali.

It doesn't mean, not striving for financial success or personal or professional growth.

It means that, in everything you do, you stay in tune with how it makes you feel.

To feel fulfilled by how you live your life.

I think this deeper feeling is a compas of sorts, a feedback mechanism.

If you follow it, you will find your way.

And it will be a journey of trial and error (read: pain) but in the end, don't you just want to feel good about what you do, the life you live and the person you have become.
