When I started my agency, I tried to control everything.  

But after 2 years of navigating the ups and downs,

I've learned that acceptance is the true key to success.

At first, I struggled with letting go.

My ego wanted to hold on to the idea that I could control everything.

I was tired of the constant struggle to come up with fresh ideas. 

Relying on random bursts of inspiration just didn’t make sense.

So I developed a foolproof system that keeps my idea generation sorted. 

Here's how I do it:

Passive Idea Building 

→ Saving posts from other creators 
→ Screenshotting industry insights 
→ Jotting down ideas while reading 


Active Idea Generation 

→ Using Twitter's advanced search 
→ Leveraging Taplio for inspiration 
→ Chatting with GPT 

All of these ideas go straight into my idea bank on Notion.

So, when it's time to write, I am not wasting it on being frustrated. 

No more staring at a blank screen or waiting for inspiration to strike! 

By separating my idea generation process into these two categories, I ensure a constant flow of diverse and engaging ideas.

Passive idea building captures inspiration. 

Active idea generation empowers me to seek out specific topics and angle

When I combine these two approaches, I've got a winning formula for never running out of content ideas again!

A powerful lesson I learned from my dad:

Don't set the wrong expectations. 

1. "Be honest and realistic"

In the excitement of closing projects or onboarding people, we might feel tempted to overpromise.But we must not.

When I started my business, I wanted to be everything. I'd say things like:

- "We can definitely deliver that in half the time!"
- "Of course, we can accommodate all your requests!"
- "No problem, we'll figure it out as we go!"

Turns out, the more I overpromised, the more I struggled to deliver my expertise.

So, I learned to:

1. Assess my capabilities realistically
2. Communicate limitations and constraints upfront
3. Set clear expectations and boundaries
4. Prioritize long-term relationships over short-term gains

Overpromising might feel good at the moment, but it hinders long-term growth.

Delivering on realistic commitments feels much better in the long run. 

To whoever is reading this:

Don't let the temptation to impress others compromise your ability to deliver.

Be honest, be realistic, and watch your relationships and reputation flourish!

I disappeared from LinkedIn for 2 weeks.

Here's why:

I'll be honest with you. I hit a wall. Burnout crept in, and before I knew it, I was in a full-fledged creative rut. 

As a personal brand strategist, I preach the importance of consistency.

But here's the thing: consistency without systems is a recipe for burnout. 

In my absence, I realized that I had been prioritizing intensity over sustainability.

A point came in where I had to put a lot of energy into opening linkedin. 

Weird right? Even the things that you love doing can get too much. 

But I'm not here to dwell on my mistakes.

I'm here to bounce back stronger and share my mistakes so that you can avoid them. 

Stop before you are fully consumed, because if the burnout is big the resting phase will be even bigger. 

Don't neglect your well-being. Set boundaries, take breaks, and prioritize self-care. A burnt-out creator serves no one. 

Embrace imperfection. Progress over perfection. Don't let the fear of imperfection paralyze you. 

In the end, it's not about never falling off track. It's about how quickly you can get back on track and keep going. 

If you're feeling burnt out or stuck in a rut, know that you're not alone. Take a step back, reassess, and come back stronger.
