I’m the Founder of Schaefer, a firm built to help food and beverage brands understand why consumers try, buy, and switch. My career has taken me through startups, Fortune 500 companies, and agencies, where I gained firsthand experience in the challenges brands face when trying to connect with their customers. I earned my MBA from Willamette University, but my most valuable lessons came from working directly in the trenches—figuring out what drives growth and what holds it back. Entrepreneurship runs in my blood. Coming from two generations of business owners, I always knew I wanted to build something of my own. In 2019, I took the leap and started Schaefer. What started as a broad marketing consultancy evolved into something far more focused: the only buyer psychology agency specializing in food and beverage. Our work is rooted in data, research, and strategy—helping brands remove the guesswork and make smarter decisions that improve customer acquisition, retention, and long-term growth. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with brands like Zappos, Intel, Toll Brothers, Walmart, Sam’s Club, Virgin Hotels, School of Rock, Handled, Klogs, Mathnasium, Stampede, and Hubble Contacts. Every experience reinforced what I know now—success isn’t just about marketing louder; it’s about understanding people better.
