Overview:
As a Lead Financial Analyst, I perform bottom-up fundamental analysis and modeling, as well as big picture tracking of overall sector trends and cyclicality.
I am primarily focused on the Global Semiconductor market; mainly small and mid cap companies in the Back-End segment of the industry.

Responsibilities: 
While my responsibilities include broad industry tracking, my greater focus is on deep technological inflections, as I seek to identify key enabling technologies in an ever evolving ecosystem.

Modeling:
I build bottom up fundamental models; primarily P/L, with which I compare and monitor internal estimates to consensus expectations.

Idea generation: 
My idea generation is entirely organic and derives from a deep understanding of the space and a broad network of industry experts. 
This allows for idiosyncratic ideas, and second and third derivative themes.

Industry Research: 
I have developed a broad network of industry experts with whom I consult on technical questions.
This has proven invaluable in validating underlying assumptions.

Conviction: 
Conviction in investment ideas comes from primary research and bottom up modeling of a company's revenue and profitability, balanced with continuously digging for objective unbiased confirmation or rejection of the investment thesis.

Example:
Relatively early (~2021), I identified that traditional Front-End node scaling (Moore's Law) was hitting a wall both technically, and maybe more importantly, financially. 
For companies to continue to increase chip performance, Back-End Assembly would play a far more important role than it had historically.
This realization led to many investment ideas around Advanced Packaging, Assembly and Test of semiconductors.
