I've spent the greater part of my career working in senior management roles ending as a CEO of a private equity backed SME bought out of administration. Successful turnaround resulting in a doubling of turnover but more importantly the sanity of profitability and the reality of positive cash flow. All helpful in developing a wide range of skills, however eventually I felt that a change was needed in the direction I wanted to go. But which direction? Then the pandemic and lockdown struck! This gave me a bit more freedom to discover what cutting edge technologies were out there. I could then use my business development skills to partner with manufacturers and help distribute their products to the market place. It was immediately apparent that with increasing energy prices technologies that could reduce energy consumption within a business would be very attractive. The electricity tariffs meant a very attractive payback period and if financed an immediate positive ROI. And here we are! It is as I thought, all businesses are looking to reduce energy spend and I’ve a stack of low carbon technologies that do that.
