White Mountain

I serve as a motivational speaker for the White Mountain Future Search initiative, a Maasai-driven project focused on environmental restoration and community empowerment. This initiative, endorsed by Environment and Forestry Cabinet Secretary Keriako Tobiko, brings together a diverse group of stakeholders—including Maasai communities, government ministries, conservationists, and the tourism industry—to address the pressing issue of landscape degradation in Kajiado and Narok counties.

The project is centred around the ambitious goal of restoring the ice cap of Mount Kilimanjaro (Oldonyo Oibor) and revitalising the surrounding ecosystems. Through collaborative action plans and strategies, White Mountain Future Search aims to align grassroots efforts with policy guidelines, ensuring sustainable development and the preservation of both environmental and cultural heritage.

As a speaker, I inspire participants to engage in this vital mission, encouraging them to embrace the challenges and opportunities that come with building a better future for the region.

I serve as a Parents' Representative for both Tenkes Primary School and Entotol Secondary School. In this role, I work closely with the schools' administrations and the community to ensure that the voices and concerns of parents are effectively communicated and addressed. 

My responsibilities include advocating for educational resources, supporting student well-being, and fostering a collaborative environment between parents, teachers, and school leaders to enhance the overall educational experience for our children.

Narok County Youth Empowerment Forum (NYEFF)

As the Executive Director of the Narok County Youth Empowerment Forum, I lead efforts to reform and revitalise a dynamic organisation focused on addressing critical issues within Narok County and its surrounding areas. Our mission is to empower the youth by providing them with the tools, resources, and platforms needed to become active participants in their communities and advocates for positive change. 

Under my leadership, the forum has become a vibrant entity dedicated to tackling serious social, economic, and environmental challenges, fostering a stronger, more resilient future for the youth of Narok.

Narok County Natural Resource Network

In my role as Executive Secretary for the Narok County Natural Resource Network (NCNRN), I coordinate and support a coalition of environmental organisations dedicated to protecting and conserving the natural resources of Narok County. 

My responsibilities include managing communication across member organisations, organising events and initiatives, and ensuring that our collective efforts align with our mission to safeguard the environment. I work closely with stakeholders to promote sustainable practices and advocate for policies that benefit the local ecosystem.

As a trained sociologist, I am deeply passionate about uplifting my community and preserving the rich heritage of the Maasai people. My journey has taken me through roles in research consultancy, environmental stewardship, and the tourism sector, where I have dedicated myself to fostering sustainable development and community mobilisation. 

I am driven by a profound commitment to conservation, community development, and wildlife
management, with a special focus on gender issues affecting women and youth. Through
my work, I strive to create a more equitable and sustainable future for Narok County and
beyond.
