Just had one of my biggest LinkedIn moments
and this one, made me cry…🥺
Jasmin Alić, Link Up community awarded me

“The Most Coachable” award... 
(That means I’m not just gaining followers, I’m gaining hearts ❤️) 
 
It made me remember where I first started an year ago in Link Up
where it was just a few impressions and just my close friends liking it
 
I did not feel confident, I just felt scrolled on at times….
but then taking his feedback, doing the homework
(yes he is very serious about that!)
 
and his relentless belief helped me finally think
 
“I really did it!” 🥺
 
Because when your coach sees your potential,
You know you’re on the right track.
 
LinkedIn may take time for visibility, 
But only if you’re going in the right direction.

Most people approach LinkedIn growth like this:
 
"I'm gonna send 200 connection requests, automate my DMs, and just grow!" 👀

Okay cool... 
but LinkedIn doesn't care about your growth hacks 💀

They care about keeping their platform CLEAN,
for real humans to connect

LinkedIn isn't anti-growth.
It's just anti-lazy growth. 

Here's what will get you banned👇 

→ Spammy connection requests 
→ Copy-paste DMs that are salesy
→ Fake profiles and fake authority 
→ Automation without limits 
→ Too many "I don't know this person" flags

Basically....
If You're trying to scale faster than you're building trust. 

And in 2026... 
LinkedIn's pattern-detection is NASTY
📉 One restriction can kill your momentum 
📉 One ban can erase YEARS of work

So here's your task (better... do it today)

1. Step 1: Use your REAL identity 
   → That fake US address, is not getting you clients
2. Step 2: Slow down 
   → < 100 requests per week = 🚩 Keep it personal
3. Step 3: Write like an actual human
   → Like the way you actually speak
4.  Step 4: Earn engagement BEFORE outreach 
   → Post. Comment. 
5. Step 5: Avoid shady tools
    → If LinkedIn didn't approve it, assume they're tracking it
   
That's it.
Growth is allowed. 
Spam is not.

because you just became part of my journey💛

The year’s almost over and… you guys 🥹  
After nearly 72 hours of reflection, here’s what truly stayed with me:

1. This year, we learned together, ranted the algo, almost quit but still grew to 12k+ family
2. This year, we got recognised by the #1 LinkedIn creator himself. (Still feels unreal)
3. This year, we walked into LinkedIn HQ in Singapore and met the brains behind this platform
4. This year, we raised our revenue by 2x almost!
5. And most importantly…we finally figured out how to make 9–5 and LinkedIn coexist without burning out

These weren’t personal wins.  
They were community moments.
 
Every single one of you played a part 
and I’m genuinely, grateful 💛

See you next year!

2025 Simran's Recap

We both said "yes" to meeting up so fast...
that we ended up at the same shop... but different locations😂

(Yes we literally confirmed the same coffee house name...just wrong branches)

For those who don't know him yet...Meet Thomas Hoon 

(The guy who literally teaches people how to go global on LinkedIn 🌏)

We'd known each other for a year online, but this was our first 1:1

and I was kinda nervous (well SG's top creators duh??)
PLUS the whole mix up didn't help much.....😅

But when he showed up, actually dressed up as a Gen-z
I was like "We're definitely vibing now💛

"Thomas Hoon taught me 2 things....

1. You don't have to quit to build something new

If they complement each other, they can grow side by side. 

As someone building LinkedIn on the side, this was exactly what I needed 😅 

So yes, my 9-5ers... you don't have to quit your job to build a brand here 
(There, I said it 🎤)

2. Stay away from transactional people

The ones that start with: “What do I get?”

(Run!!🏃‍♂️)

Real connections never nego their value
They build it… slowly… together.

"Like... just look at us! Feels like friends meeting again
(And yes, I’m still not over his hat 😂)"

And now? 
We're actually working on something together

You might see him as a top creator... 

But he's really just a humble person,
an incredible mentor and a millennial who somehow knows how to Gen-Z... 😅

This 2026, don’t be the next Jasmin Alic or Lara Acosta
 
Become the next YOU.
 
When I first started on LinkedIn (linkie, for me 💛),
 
I thought the secret was copying.
 Their tones, their hooks
 
I’d even ask GPT,
 “Make this sound like Jasmin.”
 
Only to read it back and think… 
“Why does this feel so… not me?” 😭
 Every post felt so off.

Why?
 I was forcing a voice that wasn’t mine.
 
I believed if I wrote in my own voice, no one would care.
I was wrong...
 
The moment I owned my voice, people didn’t just read
 they connected, they actually remembered!!
 
That’s when it clicked:
Your story already exists.💛
 
You just need to learn how to write them, and here’s how👇
 
1. Far Past: Lessons from your past. 
→Simple stories people can relate to.
 
Example: “Funny how my part-time jobs taught me more about selling than any classroom ever did.” 😂
 
2. Recent Past: Share what’s fresh. 
→Look at your social calendar or DMs for inspiration.
 
Example: “Recently caught up with an AI founder who wanted to shut AI out completely…”
 
3. Present:  Share your thoughts and ideas as they come
→Always carry a notebook..
 
Example: “I was reading Alex’s book when this thought hit me…”🥺
 
4. Trending: Jump into trending topics. 
→Add your own take to spark engagement.
 
Example: “Reach is down, yes. But we’re still ‘growing on LinkedIn’.”
 
5. Manufactured: Pick a topic your audience finds interesting
→Learn it and then share it. It’s more effort, but worth it.
 
Example: “I thought I knew design… until I realised the most important part was never taught.” 
 
The bottom line is life happens it does with all of us… 
You can benefit by just sharing it with others
 That’s how you win hearts, not just likes. 💛

Just consistency and a few smart tweaks.
Here’s how:
 
1. Optimize everything. I mean everything!
   →  Banner, URL, and especially your multiple descriptions. 
   → These spots quietly drive a lot of traffic.
   
2. Stay active in comments.
   →  But not just from your personal account. 
   → Switch your “role” so you comment as your company page too.
 
Make sure it has its own unique tone and voice.
 
3. Sync your posting rhythm.
 
→ If you post daily personally, 
Have your company page repost every one of those and comment on other posts.
 
→ If you post 2-4 times a week, 
Alternate between personal posts and company page posts.
One day you. One day the brand.
 
Most people ignore their business pages.
(And miss out on one of LinkedIn’s most underrated reshare opportunities.)
 
When both your personal and company pages work in sync,
You build visibility, trust, and authority faster.
 
Treat your company page like a living,
 brand not just a static brochure. 💛

For the longest time,
 I thought my offers needed to be louder.
 More features.
 More explaining.
 
Turns out…
 they just needed to be clearer. ✨
 
Today, I’m sharing Jasmin Alić framework that helped my offers feel like
 “This is exactly what I needed.”
 
Here’s how it works:
 
1. WHAT 
   → What do you actually sell? 
   → Don't complicate it, just say it in one sentence.
   
2. WHO 
   → Who’s this for? 
   → If you’re saying “everyone,” you’re saying “no one.” Be Specific

3. WHAT FOR 
   → What’s the real benefit? 
   → What pain or problem does your offer solve?
   →  Think about what your audience needs, not just what you’re selling.

4. HOW
    → How’s it gonna work?
    →  Don’t get lost in the details, but give them enough to know how you’re going to deliver this solution.
   
5. WHY 
   → What’s the emotional connection? 
   → Go beyond the features. 
   → Why does this matter on a deeper level? 
   → What will it feel like once they’ve got it?
   
6. WHY NOT 
   → Be real. 
   → Tell them who this isn’t for. The more honest you are, the more they’ll trust you.
   → Own up to your limitations.
   
7. FAQ 
   →Answer the doubts.
   →What’s holding them back from saying yes? 
   →Address the big concerns so there’s no confusion.

 When people understand, they decide faster.

These days, we're out here spending 60% of our time searching or designing that perfect visual.
 
Adjusting colors. Testing layouts. Adding gradients.
and upscaling that blurred image...(canva☠️)
 
Meanwhile, the actual writing? 
The hook that's supposed to stop the scroll?
 
Hmm. That gets 10 minutes and a prayer.

But you see the most viral posts on LinkedIn?

They're just… text.

No fancy graphics. No stock images.
Just writing that actually speaks to us
 
Here's what makes them work 👇
 
• A strong opening. 
• One short, bold sentence.  
• Short sentences. Under 12 words.  
• A second line that pulls you in, not explains.  
• Simple formatting. Wave or 1–3–1 works best. 
• No lonely words on an empty line of sentence.
• One idea at a time, with spaces for your audience.
• And a gentle question at the end, for them to engage.

The engagement might come in one like at a time.
But then? All at once 💛

You might have to show your art board for your next big project

So here I am showing up mine!

Watch me design a space launch sticker from scratch and here we go....🥹

This was for a SpaceX rocket launch
where one of the satellites went up (yes we in space 🥹)

Lately I've noticed 1 thing that makes designs resonate...
You need to show the story behind them
the messier your story = the stronger their emotion

So how do you actually do that?

1. Show them WHY you chose that theme
   "Why that color?" "What does it make them feel?" 
   
   Went with blue neon theme for this one
    Bold. Electric. A little futuristic.
   
   See how sharing the "why" makes you pause? 
   That's what clients need✨
   
2. Layer the steps to show the progress
   Am I saying show every step? 
   
   Nope... compile them
   
   → Just the before/after doesn't show the struggle
   → But showing 3-5 key moments? 
   That tells the REAL story
    
   PLUS... when people see the process, 
   they understand the value 👀
   
As creators, 
we could keep designing forever.  
 
But its important
we start sharing the story and the emotion behind it ❤️
