Supply Chain Manager (Interim Operations Manager)

In this role, l am responsible for managing supply chain (purchasing, procurement, supplier negotiation, logistics) for custom built gaming/electronics hardware for B2B clients in NZ and AU. 

•	Responsibilities include working with software and hardware development teams from concept to design with respect to sourcing components for cutting edge custom computing solutions.
•	Responsible for managing existing supplier arrangements and negotiate new contracts in order to achieve the best possible terms 
•	Responsible for checking supplier’s progress to ensure goods are delivered on time, conduct regular inspection of supplier goods, advise suppliers on problems and resolve them as soon as possible.
•	Responsible for working with freight/logistics partners to negotiate the quickest delivery options for imported hardware.
•	Work closely with the team to plan in advance hardware requirements and updating them with availability of components and alternative options.
•	Manage documentation such as preparing prepare shipping documents, invoices, process flow 
•	Established and implemented just-in-time inventory
•	In addition to my daily supply chain tasks I have been involved in leading the requirements for Supply Chain software as a service application that ChillX plans on launching in 2022.

• Responsible for managing the purchasing and inventory of 2000 electronic products across all lines of business equating to £6 million.
• Responsible for demand planning and forecasting of stocked products in UK, South Africa and Switzerland.
• Responsible for placing orders with suppliers; taking into account factors such as Far East lead-times, ship time, seasonality, service level, buffer stock and historical demand to carefully manage the ordering process

•	Reduced food wastage for the group by 20% by facilitating stock rotation including just in time and make to order projects. Increasing inventory turns to ensure that the storage is not overstocked or run out of ingredient
•	Increased monthly sales to an average of 13% by monitoring product quality and improving service standards per order and implementing this into an individual plan to ensure growth
•	Brought down the average load time to 2.5mins from 4.5mins by improving production efficiency

I am a supply chain specialist with 10 years of experience in building optimal supply chain systems.
My past tenures range from startups/scale-ups in the in tech manufacturing, electronics, lighting, packaging and food industry. I have been fortunate to have worked with international teams where I started in the UK and then transitioned to NZ.
I have primarily led teams across inventory management, purchasing, warehousing and logistics.
More recently, I have been optimizing inventory via Kanban System along with managing the demand planning and forecasting for key product lines. I have played an instrumental in implementing the roll out of a new ERP system. 
In a matter of 18months I have been able to keep all components on schedule for manufacturing during Covid, build new relationship and negotiate contracts with overseas suppliers, implement an inventory management tool for production to operate smoothly. 
I am passionate about working with high performing teams and getting hands on with the day to day operations so business can run smoothly and the team can operate effectively.
