• Wrote/finalized underwriting guidelines for a new insurance program. 
• Wrote/finalized process map for internal & external partners for the new insurance program.
• Did the initial triage & underwriting for the first accounts as they began to come in.

I worked on The "Provider" side of the business with an eye toward the challenges that Plumbers, Electricians, Handymen, etc. had in onboarding onto the DMG Pro platform.  One of those challenges (and where my skillset is) was the providers not having commercial insurance or having it, but it not being compliant with our insurance requirements.

Insurance Product Manager

Briza

•	Lead the ideation, construction, and ongoing operation of a supply partner appetite analysis resource - allowing the organization to better research, engage, and prioritize carrier and MGA partnerships and integrations.
•	Monitor and document Briza's fidelity to underwriting models and the insurance related capabilities of their APIs (i.e. availability of optional coverages, endorsement capabilities, appetite changes, etc.)
         -Serve as an internal-facing resource to research & answer questions related to underwriting question curation, classification mapping, engineering, sales and customer support.
         -Serve as an external-facing resource to research & answer distribution and carrier partner questions about insurance related capabilities.
•	Serve as our insurance brokerage entity’s Designated Responsible Licensed Person (DRLP).  
•	Serve as Briza’s Corporate Insurance Manager
        -Collect, analyze and organize data for global insurance program submissions and lead insurance program renewals. Collaborate with internal partners to prepare comprehensive presentation materials in support of underwriter renewal meeting activities.
      -Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance brokerage partners and major insurance companies, to ensure efficiency of insurance program administration functions including claim reporting, program invoicing, taxes, policy issuance and certificate of insurance requests.
      -Assist in the development, implementation and audit or corporate loss control procedures and protocols.
      -Lead the development of risk management tools, data and systems to manage information required for efficient day to day operations including policy, claims, program costs and carrier data.
•	Continue to build, deliver, and maintain ongoing learning and development opportunities for Briza colleagues; including hosting seminars, hosting webinars, populating our ‘Insurance Questions’ slack channel & populating a Slab document.

Senior Manager - Insurance Center of Excellence

•	Worked with each of the MGA’s and Insurance Carrier’s that we were actively building integrations with to ensure that our engineering team and the capacity provider’s team were efficiently working towards the completion of our integration efforts. I answered questions for each team and facilitated cross-team meetings. Much of this work was focused on classification mapping and underwriting question curation. 
•	Worked with each of the MGA’s and Insurance Carriers that we have completed our current integration work with to identify areas of improvement for each of our teams. Also, worded to identify next steps that may be driven by either the business or engineering teams of either organization. 
•	Led the procurement process for our Salesforce instance. 
        -Worked with our Engineering Development team, Business Development team and Senor Leadership team to identify the customizations needed to meet each of their use cases. Also, continued to work with each of those teams to further enhance our Salesforce instance to capture data provide the reporting they needed to succeed. 
         -Recommended the salesforce consultants that we hired to assist us in building out our instance of Salesforce and now work with them together to deliver the customization that our team needs. 
•	Led the effort to build out our reporting functionality back to our MGA’s and Insurance Carrier partners to aid in celebrating any wins, as well as identifying areas for improvement. 
•	Worked to build, deliver, and maintain ongoing learning and development opportunities for Briza colleagues; including hosting seminars, hosting webinars, populating our ‘Insurance Questions’ slack channel & populating a Slab document.

Senior Manager for Carrier Integrations

Bikelane Solutions

•	I was responsible for developing the systems & processes for our sales people to follow in quoting, binding and servicing their accounts. 
•	I was responsible for designing our Salesforce/Tech Canary interface as well as creating and monitoring the KPI reporting for the insurance team.  
•	I oversaw our accounting functions (mostly direct bill or outside financed) to ensure the smooth premium and commission flow between Bikelane, our insureds and our carrier partners. 
•	I conducted the initial research and internal evaluation of 3rd party technologies that may assist us in creating an efficient insurance placement process. 
•	I was responsible for developing and conducting our new hire training process for both licensed and non-licensed team members.

Solutions Specialist

CoverWallet

•I helped my (1,500+) insured’s navigate their MyCoverWallet account, quote new lines of coverage, request certificates of insurance, report claims to their carrier(s), and facilitate responses to any billing concerns.  
•I handled the offline/traditional marketing process for new and renewal business with the carriers that we are not integrated with yet. 
•I worked with our product team to develop systems, processes and features to our platform to make the tasks associated with managing an Insured’s insurance program easier and more efficient. 
•I worked with our team members who are newer to the company and/or Commercial Insurance to assist them in building the necessary knowledge for them to be able to excel in their work.

Senior Account Manager

Hays Companies

•	Was responsible for designing, marketing and implementing insurance programs for my clients (mostly in the middle market space). 
•	Coordinated services and meetings between clients and insurance carriers when appropriate.  
•	Provided day-to-day consulting and client service.  
•	AMS360 PowerUser for the Boston office.  
•	Trained new hires on the various systems and processes that we use to meet our client’s needs.

Assistant Vice President

William Gallagher Associates

-I assisted numerous clients with their day-to-day certificate requests and risk management concerns, as well as managing the renewal marketing & placement process of their commercial insurance programs.  
-I was a member of the WGA PaperWise committee which helped WGA transition from paper policy & client files to a paperless platform.

-Managed the property and liability insurance for a multi-Billion TIV REO commercial real estate portfolio which grew dramatically over a number of years, and had 500+ locations.
-Managed the daily process of adding/deleting assets on-demand, with 2 day turnaround times on locations with an average TIV of $10+M.

Senior Client Service Manager

-Designed and maintain an “eRoom” for our clients to allow underwriter, broker, & insured to have access to all related insurance documents on demand, anywhere in the world.
-Became WGA National Flood Insurance Program “guru”
-Flew to Washington DC weekly for 3 months to maintain a risk management presence in client’s regional office while they searched for additional internal staff.

-Assisted in the day to day account management activities for a number of middle market and national accounts for various life sciences, real estate, and transportation firms.  
-Attained my ARM while in this position
-Was awarded the 2008 WGA Customer service award

-Led a team of three contract assembly reps. 
-Developed log to track associate and team productivity over time. 
-Contributed to auto-gen team as a subject matter expert, and oversaw parallel production as products come online.

-Developed page order lists that are now used by each business line.  
-Resolved problems with policies for each business line.  
-Achieved and maintained a high quality control rating.  Participated in auto-gen project as a subject matter expert.

Contract Assembly Rep

Throughout my career in the P&C insurance and brokerage industry, I have built an in depth and unique knowledge base. I have used my career experience in brokerage to grow and support organizations looking to revolution the insurance industry.

I spent the first decade of my carrier as a traditional retail broker, setting a critical foundation for my future career endeavors. More recently, I have relocated to New York City and have worked for several insuretech start-up firms. My positions at CoverWallet, Bikelane, Briza and DMG allowed me to use my insurance industry knowledge in new and interesting ways. I created tools that support account management teams, helped grow a 50 person organization to a 200 person organization and built a brokerage from the ground up. In addition, I have developed support resources and processes for insurance brokerages, while also making strategic plans for implementation and deployment.

I am currently looking for new position that allows me to continue to build this knowledge base and put my past experience to work. If you are looking for such a person, I would love to chat!
