Semiflex Dome System Ltd. is a medical device for transcutaneous Vacuum Assisted Closure of fistula tracts, post-fistula cavities, chronic abscess and complex wound cavities, with a special focus on patients suffering from perianal fistulas, the most common complication in CD. Suitable for outpatient setting.

The Semiflex Dome System aims to meet the unmet need of the IBD Community and become the leading device for the treatment of fistulae. The transition from acute treatment to ambulatory care that it will enable, will be a major breakthrough in the management and treatment of fistulae.

The primary beneficiary of this product is IBD patient group. Non-IBD patient group is the secondary beneficiary.

Haptic Technology UX Research Project

Aimed at exploring mediated communication with the use of haptic feedback. The goal was to discover the usage of haptics that gives purpose and meaning to people. It was largely supported by Tangible Haptics and Microsoft Research.

The project culminated in Hapticathon, May 2015 - the first ever haptics hackathon - organised and hosted by White Ducky and Programma.pl. Hapticathon, along with the insights and learnings, was featured in "News from the Field" in IEEE Transactions on Haptics (ToH) MIT journal, vol. 8, no. 2 April-June 2015.  

Haptics is a new frontier that applies forces of electrostatics, ultrasonics and magnetics to provide tactile sensation as the carrier of messages. In the world of miniaturisation this technology fulfils its prior aim, fitting in thin devices and wearables. Haptic feedback interaction can also change the eCommerce industry in terms of how we experience textures of products we’re looking at.

As part of a team of strategists, creative technologists, designers, UX specialists and developers, we worked together to provide extraordinary, cutting edge projects. The job included researching, visualising ideas, creating initial mockups, structuring proposals and presenting them to clients.

I was also responsible for extending production capabilities in Poland as well as establishing a new office in Poznań.

UNIT9's work is consistently recognised by major national and international awards schemes for both creativity and effectiveness. The FWA, one of the industry’s most widely recognised digital showcases, has inducted UNIT9 into their hall of fame. My key responsibility was to develop a social auditing process and methodology to identify the most effective content formats across different industries.
