Experienced CISO - Lifer In Cyber //connect with me// My experience in information security, and information technology, goes back 30 years (1989) working with Bulletin Board Services (BBS) and 600 baud modems; to T1 enterprise fiber networks, complete with load balancing and firewall appliances (and software). During my career I have held various positions including fiduciary board level seats. The details of my professional path covers everything from enterprise networks, full cloud deployments, migrations and architecture including risk management frameworks such as NIST. On a regular basis I make it a point to help out my colleagues in any way I possibly can, ranging from basic understanding to supporting goals and decisions. I am constantly attaining more and more certifications, allowing myself to become not only proficient in specific technology, but also a pivotal leader of integrating those technologies in various configurations and platforms. CISO Definition: Responsible for clearly identifying, building strategy, and articulating the projects in support of the business. A CISO oversees a budget, employs marketing strategies to gain adoption, finds operational efficiencies, continuous improvements and more. I pride myself on this definition, and tackling complex issues - finding the correct resolution. My ability to think both inside and outside the box, along with my patience and perseverance, allows me to be successful with pride.
